That’s the emotional terrain of Valley Lights, an L.A.-based artist sculpting sleek, electronic pop that pulses with lust, longing, and late-night loneliness.

Drawing from the analog warmth and neon soundscapes of the 1980s and combining them with the seductive pulse of modern R&B and funk, Valley Lights creates music that evokes both the retro-futurism of The Midnight and the sultry sleaze of early The Weeknd. It’s synth music for a late night “U up?” and solo drives after bad decisions — equal parts romantic and rotten.

His 2023 debut album Two Lane Highway introduced the world to his unique sound: icy drum machines, soaring guitars, passionate vocal melodies, and basslines that throb like a second heartbeat. Now signed to Outland Recordings, Valley Lights is teasing his 2025 follow-up — a deeper, darker descent into the emotional ruins of city nights and love gone sideways.
