Straight outta East-Van, the heart of British Columbia, Canada's poorest ghetto East Hastings & Main, wasting's and pain, after seeing Run Dmc's "Jam Master Jay" instead of picking up a weapon, He made the choice to rise and grind eveyday so he could pick up his first set of turntables. His first set up was 2 Gemini XL 500II turntables and a Vestex PMC mixer. After a year of a minimum of 2 hours daily practice, Dubz knew that this was what he was going to do til the day he dies but also knew that he needed to immediately upgrade his weapons of choice to a set of Technics 1200 turntables and a gold 2 channel Vestex PVC mixer. Now 22+ years later Double.A Beats has earned his stripes and the title of "industry veteran" in the game. After a few years he realized that in order to start making a name for himself and to be able to have his name known outside of his hood, He was going to have to learn how to start making his own Beats. Starting off with learning how to do remixes and edit's, he quickly moved on to original productions and for the last 18 years now, He has put out numerous tracks that have opened up doors for him and gave him opportunities to travel to other countries to play shows due to the popularity of his own tracks. Realizing he was making an established name for himself,He began receiving requests and offers from already well established artists to make them exclusive instrumentals as well as began making and stockpiling 100's of beats that were sold to other artists around the world from old to new and just starting out. Always moving forward no matter what roadblocks he faced at times, Dubz remained focused and detemined 100%, it eventually gave him the opportunities to have had the honor of playing as well as touring alongside a numerous amount of talented artists such as TECH N9NE, K-Blitz, Rome Angel, Young Tox, DJ Khaled, Onyx, Snak The Ripper, Evil Ebenezer, Merkules, Mat The Alien, Marshmello, Major Lazer, Getta, Freaky Flow, Emotionz, Stylust, DJ Moves, C-Solow, Shortfuse, Phonograff, Bryx, Lazy Rich, Bass Kleph, Bassnectar, A-Trak, Take 5, Orbatak, Micky Slim, Excision, DatSik, Mode & Special S (Dirty Cop), Main Offenders, GroundBreakers, Kirby Dominant, Souls Of Mischief, Del Tha' Funky Homosapien, StickyBuds, Slim Pickins, P.H.E.B.U.S and many, many more talented MC's and DJ's. His turntablist mash up style of heavy BASS-FACE filled music styles like hip hop, trap, dub step, dnb, breakbeats and house continue to rock dance floor's across Canada and beyond.
