In the current age of constant artistic regurgitation, it is rare to find true originals defying music genres. By fusing hip-hop influence with vogue house-inspired rhythms, Philadelphia’s Sugur Shane is the definition of realness. His unrivaled productions, memorable live performances, and vitalizing DJ sets, undoubtedly, crown him one of Philadelphia’s finest.

Sugur Shane’s persistence has led to major accomplishments throughout the past several months, most notably Billboard magazine premiere of the self- directed music video for “Kill Da Bitch” (released by Top Billin brothers Main Course). With support and collaborations by heavy-hitters like Astronomar, Bassnectar, Dubble Dutch, L-Vis 1990, Cashmere Cat, MikeQ, Kilbourne, (to name a few), Sugur Shane is that cup of tea.

We’ve always liked what we’ve heard from Shane, and he wants to display how people vogue all over, “Everyone is so stuck on the New York scene, so I wanted to portray what a ball in Philly is really like” he says. Remixes on the release come from such ballroom, clubroom and bassroom favourites like Cvnt Traxxx, Drippin, Copout and Beek.
