King Dude's latest offering is a 7" recording of two classic songs from his back catalog.  Along with the help of his trusted band of Demon-Brothers, the King has re-arranged, re-recorded, and re-vived "Born in Blood" and "Spiders in Her Hair" just for your listening pleasure.

Recorded by the King himself in his own studio, these songs are alive with a new vitality and shine with the glory of Lucifer himself!  

This is the first in a series of seven 7" records that will span 14 songs from the King's codex of work, all released by Not Just Religious Music in editions of 500.

The first single from Dunham Records in-house, all male, backing vocal quartet, The Sha-La-Das, conjures up the memory of a stolen first kiss - a whispered, forbidden vow of young love under the boardwalk at Coney Island. "Shake The Shackles" is Crystal Stilts' first release since "Love Is A Wave" and is a great snapshot of where the band is now and a taster for their forthcoming second album, due early 2011. Driven by echoed guitar strum and droning keys, it's a dexterous update of 60s garage pop that places it alongside late 80s Paisley Underground heroes like Green On Red and later Dream Syndicate, but the song itself is totally timeless, and impossible to place anywhere but firmly in Crystal Stilts' own unique style.

DoublePlusGood is the long-running romantic pop project of Portlander Erik Carlson. Often known for his shimmering layers of production, Carlson has created a sound that beautifully combines melancholy crooner with dreampop textures. Backed by a four-peice band, audiences are transported to a 1960s era romance film where the protagonist can't get enough jukebox slow jams.

Since its birth over a decade ago, DoublePlusGood has released mutiple albums and EPs, been featured on several local compliation albums, and has been trusted support for acts like Ariel Pink, Wild Ones, and Typhoon. Carlson also single-handedly ran an independant record label, SoHiTek, that has been home to Hosannas, Fanno Creek, Pocketknife, and more.
