To ease you further  into the night is a mix from one of our all time favorite DJs- Will Automagic (@djwillautomagic) .  Raised in our native Austin, Texas but made a break for New York when he was 18, we’ve always had a kinship with Ms. Automagic. He has become one of the most revered DJs in New York as part of the Carry Nation but is a fierce DJ and producer in his own right.  Over the next hour he keeps the pacing slow but the energy level high.  Lather yourself in this lusty mix of heart quicking synths and stuttering percussion to prepare yourself for whatever may come your way.

To kick off the Double Scorpio Sound Bath series is our sister from the south, @Bouffant-Bouffant. 
She brings the right mix of seduction and party starters to kick off our journey into the night.  In his own words "I pulled some classics for this, some slithery percussion, some gay cruisy icons, some yearning for women vocals to open up the gender for a new age of bathhouse... all our friends smiling with raging hard ons in white towels, our trans-femme girls titties out, and non-gendered pals twirling for the gods, our masc bros making the moves around every corner. I'm so proud of the legacy and creative tapestry of faggotry we continue to weave together."

CarrieOnDisco provides us with a proper Sleaze mix to bring us into the morning hours. Carrie is a beloved DJ hailing from England but has been turning the party in San Francisco (and around the country) for years. For the uninitiated, Sleaze or “morning music” is a style of DJing  perfected in New York, SF, and Fire Island that features slower, lilting tunes with romantic lyrics that act as an encore to a night of nonstop dancing. Carrie crafts a nearly four hour masterclass in the slower side of disco, soul, and psychedelia that eases us from night into day. Whether this music is the perfect come down before bed or the soundtrack for a new lover you brought home for Sunday service, Carrie delivers a powerhouse finale to our night at the Sound Baths.

You know that old saying: A butthole is like a studio apartment, a pussy is like a topiary-garden maze. Oh, you aren’t familiar with it?  Well, it's an apt descriptor for the fourth mix in our series where DJ Lisa Frank guides us into the deepest recesses of the DS Sound Baths.  This mix is filled with plot twists and sharp left turns and an unexpected musique concréte element that will have your towels falling off.  Whatever position you’re in now, you’re going to be flipped upside down five minutes later.  Don’t try to guess the next move, just surrender.

Prepare yourself for something special with an original composition created by coatshek. A hypnotic, continuous music piece created just for the Sound Baths, @coatshek aka Sheki, layers synths, drum machines, and live guitar playing to whip the crowd into a frenzy. Once upon a time (the 1970s) bathhouses were more than just a place to hook up. Some had discos, full gyms, restaurants, the works. As some of you may know, Bette Midler got her start in the cabaret room at the Continental Baths with Barry Manilow playing piano for her. Sheki, quite a sturdy and hirsute block of man, may not be considered the natural successor to the Divine Ms. M, but he certainly brings a new dimension to the bathhouse with this live set that is engineered to take you into sensory overload.

DS SoundBaths - Coatshek

Hailing from the Windy City, meet Harry Cross –  
Resident DJ at Steamworks Chicago, definitely the reigning Queen of Slings. Creator of the legendary Witch Finger party, Harry's resume is extensive and impressive.

In this epic bathhouse series finale, Harry drops a mix that captures the vibe of the first half of a legendary 6-hour set, recorded live at Steamworks Bath House in Chicago. The DJ booth overlooks the locker room and the steam room entrance, so it's usually chill – but not on this night. Shows upon shows were breaking out everywhere, love was in the air, and exchanges of all kinds were made.

This mix has been budussy tested and pillow biter approved. Buckle up, grab on to your towel, and enjoy the ride.

"This mix is a retooled recording of an opening set I played at Electric Toucan, an experimental art pop-up party hosted in a converted warehouse. I was deep in my soulful art-hoe fantasy for this one, curating selections to inspire thought, connection, and movement. As the opener, my intention was to warm the soul of the dancefloor with hypnotic grooves, wavy basslines, and a healthy serving of bongos. Groovy, jazzy, and at times downright funky, this mix is a dreamy journey through the soulful corners of my collection."
