The functional biosphere complex, founded in the first century of the modern era, is one of the outstanding monuments of proto-architecture. The renovation made it possible to use the lobby to commemorate the most exceptional sound enthusiasts. The main stage is surrounded by lotuses that embody the image of rebirth and the fundamental nature of being. The winner of the current ceremony is Alessandro Crimi. He converts his noteworthy word into the mouthpiece from the era that holds the secrets of worlds sunk into oblivion. Pablo Bolivar, the mysterious Yaleesa Hall and Malin Genie have also received awards for their significant contributions to the study of electronics.

Prolific remixer, versatile producer & a well-respected DJ, Simbad (aka SMBD) is a stalwart of the underground music scene in UK & has had a very fertile career so far.

Because of his vast arrays of releases, it’s very hard to put him into any box or music category although as the Frenchy says himself, it's all about soul in all forms & shapes. And timelessness.

Since his 2007 album Supersonic Revelation & his worldwide acclaimed dancefloor hit Soul Fever, Simbad has been constantly traveling the five continents entertaining delighted clubbers with his super energetic dj skills or producing and recording various artists from many different genres including deeper Dubstep don Mala (DMZ), UK Hip Hop star Roots Manuva, Cuban songstress Dayme Arocena, Detroit House producer Kai Alce, Berlin-based deep Techno artist Fred P,  Seun Kuti from Afrobeat’s most famous family, Brazilian superstar artist/actor Seu Jorge and being production mentor for the king of cool, radio DJ Gilles Peterson (who made him one of the residents at his Worldwide Festivals).

Our 4th "Live Sessions" comes from Russian virtuoso Finetune.

Externalizing phantasies from his imagination through a range of musical instruments, @MichaelDop's Finetune project has grown into a startling creative force. This is music that is born from a variety of emotional states. Communicated masterfully from within an artistic headspace in which improvisation is invariably welcome. As one of the founders of the famed Russian collective @SLOWDANCE, Michael’s story is one of an artist in its truest form. A curious and captivated mind that sees art as a way to travel to another world. As Finetune he draws on a multi-genre palette to explore these worlds. Utilizing everything from experimental electronics and ambient to IDM and house, as he conjures sonic spells that ebb and flow like the rivers themselves, or race and fly like the icy winds.

This exquisite set was recorded 'live' at Mutabor in Moscow for SLOWDANCE'S 12th Birthday back in August last year. We trust you'll find it as captivating as we do.
