Very beautiful and inspiring evolution of the synths!

A few months back we had the pleasure of chatting with @mecha-maiko and now we have the pleasure of having her come onto our show to drop an exclusive guest mix and interview!

For those who are unfamiliar with @mecha-maiko, she is a #juno nominated electronic music producer who has influences from 80s house and euro synth music. Having began her career as the vocalist for the synthwave act Dead Astronauts between 2011-2016, she quickly established herself as “one of synthwave’s most recognizable voices” by New Retro Wave. Fast forward a tad, and Mecha how now begun to emerge within the electronic scene and DJs across North America.

@tr8ma and @hej-malmo have a shared history, dating back to well before their members even began their own music journeys, buying their first music equipment.
It all started over ten years ago, their musical affinities led them to frequently cross paths at concerts they attended.
The connection strengthened over time, evolving into a friendship extending beyond music.

While each group carves its own path, @tr8ma and @hej-malmo often intersect in their journeys through various programs.
From performing gigs together at Le Chinois (Montreuil) to 44 Tours (Nantes), or Gambetta Club (Paris), even squeezing into a Renault Scenic, driving to their joint show at Petersburg Art Space (Berlin), the three companions have traveled a significant distance together without ever taking the time to merge their worlds.

This changes now with an EP where they share and remix each other's tracks.
TRMA reimagines TDF by Malmö, and Malmö reinterprets Get Away by TRMA, creating a new experience.
We are taken on a journey in their Renault Scenic, on a parade, starting with ambient techno and ending in a club, filled with rage and melancholy.

The 2nd album release by Russia`s Delete on Mindtrick Records is a fact.
After his "Predatory Things Of A Minute" album which dates back to 2012 Delete is finally back for his 2nd album "Muscovite" where his first album dealed with the transition from the USSR to what we now know as Russia.
This album will tell the story about the transition of Moscow and it`s "Muscovite" Inhabitants.

Meet the exceptional 2-star PE award winner, music producer, and motion designer for a day job. Growing up in Harlow, influenced by Depeche Mode's Vince Clarke and growing in a similar town to Basildon, their passion for music was ingrained early on. Their grandfather, a plumber to stars like Dave Gilmour and Kate Bush, exposed them to a range of musical genres, solidifying their love of music.

Starting piano at 8, they quickly excelled but diverged from their piano teacher due to their affinity for dark chords and wanting to learn the latest hit parade. Achieved a double award in science despite being told off for countless hours in the school's music block. They started on a 4-track, drum machine and Synth a joint christmas and birthday present.

Their design skills blossomed, working for the BBC, and designing flyers for clubs in Essex, including Mark Wright's. They had encounters with Spanish police due to early drone usage and lived in Trellick Tower a favourite building.

Currently, at a major ad agency, they contributed to the NHS Covid response design, gaining internet fame. Determined to pursue music, they acquired a Maschine for a more tactile experience when eyes where shattered from design work for more screen.
