Mighty Mini The Melody Maker aka Mark Matthew
Mighty Mini– is an emerging artist that epitomises the spiritual soul. What he lacks in stature is certainly made up by his energy and enthusiasm as well as his charm. Mighty Mini, being the ultimate performer, has the ability to elicit an overwhelming sense of love and warmth through his passion of singing.
Background and Career Progression
Mighty Mini was born in the UK and is of mixed Caribbean heritage (his father from St. Kitts and mother from Barbados). His great-grandmother was a pianist and some of his cousins formed a band “Eli Matt and the GI Brass”. 
Music, it appears, has always “played” a fundamental part of his upbringing and from which he has greatly benefited. He has been blessed with musical talent - yearning to play the clarinet at the tender age of three, his father sent him to Eli at the age of seven and within six months he was a natural on the saxophone! Soon after, having spent a year at a jazz and blues music school, he became the lead saxophonist in a 12 piece band. 
As well as playing the saxophone, Mighty Mini had also started singing, rapping and song-writing. His other interests included acting, dancing and directing as well as appearing in plays at the Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich. As an adult Mighty Mini embarked on a course to become a “Music Instrumental Facilitator”. This proved to be invaluable in the youth work he was involved with. Being so musically passionate he has since organized and facilitated courses for music workshops for young people, including those with special needs and learning difficulties – all of which have been very successful and one such workshop that born the lyrics for “Got You Back” produced by 80 Grit Scratch. Other projects Mighty Mini has been involved in – a short film “The Truth Tells my Story” He also collaborated on a double album portraying both the negative and positive sides of grime music/society. The best received tracks from the album were “Jungle Heaven”, “Don’t Stand in my Path”, “Medicine Woman” and “Wot Do I Do?”
The Voice
Mighty Mini has a unique voice that is both captivating and mesmerizing. As his lyrics effortlessly flow from lips, one would feel as if the song was written especially for the individual – a personal tribute say. He is a truly gifted and diverse artist – performing music from several genres such as jazz, reggae, and funk to name but a few in order to reach as many people as possible. His exceptional quality is being able to hold the audience lovingly in the palm of his hand and blessing them with his music.

HOW IT WORKS

You are at Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station - You are wearing headphones - You are with a group all wearing headphones - The stations is crowded, people rushing everywhere - You can hear someone speaking in your headphones. She is telling you a story - The reader of the story is somewhere in the crowd, she is reading the story now, it's live - You try to pick her out from the crowd - Eventually she comes into view - She continues to tell the story. She talks to rail travelers around her. They don't know she is telling a story. They don't know she is transmitting live - They don't know about us - This is story telling with a difference - This is performance with a difference - This is Station Stories
