Yes dear friends, at last we are touring again and i enjoy every minute of it !!!! Sometimes you walk into a Party / Rave and you feel direct this is gonna be something special ... and this TECHNOMITE last weekend was one of these experiences. Great location, nice people, proper soundsystem, cool promoter ..... and all there to have a bloody good time !!! Had a blast and the response after was overwhelming. Over the past years Red Rooms established himself in Berlin's electronic music scene. Known for his distinctive sound and minimalist approach, he captivates audiences with his hypnotic, deep yet driving productions and DJ sets. He has garnered recognition as a producer from well-known labels such as Planet Rhythm, Drawner Records and Out Of Place Records. Esteemed DJs such as MARRØN, Rødhåd, Justine Perry, DVS1 and Setaoc Mass have recognized his skill and regularly include his tracks in their sets. The great support and feedback from the scene solidifies Red Rooms' position as an emerging artist who is making waves in the electronic music community around the globe. Amplify Series 93 - Realize (live at Anthropic)

✈ To celebrate this new episode, we are proud and delighted to host such an iconic figure from the Detroit Techno scene : DJ ROLANDO (R3 Roland Rocha Records / Ostgut Ton).

Rolando grew up in south west Detroit, a Hispanic district, he was heavily influenced by his cultural Latin rhythms and percussion. Inspired from an early age by his musician father, he pursued his own interest in music and became well known and respected within the community. It was later when he heard Jeff Mills in 1985 as "The Wizard" that he discovered the innovative sounds of Techno. Through a mutual friend he was introduced to Mike Banks and joined Underground Resistance in 1994. 

In 1999 'Knights of The Jaguar' although not Rolando's first release on UR turned perceptions of Techno on their head, breaking into other genres of dance music and becoming a classic in the boxes of DJs such as Tenaglia, Morillo, Oakenfold, and Gilles Peterson. The track has a long legacy of reworking and lives on fifteen years later inspiring audiences from all genres. 

As of November 2004, Rolando left both Underground Resistance and his Los Hermanos project behind. 

2014 Rolando has launched his own label R3 (Roland Rocha Records) and will exclusively release his own music on his label. 

Rolando now a Dj for almost thirty years continues to work internationally as a Dj and continues to hold a residency at the notorious and enigmatic Berlin club Berghain.

Set the Mood with Eva Bohnen!

This week, Eva Bohnen presents her vision of an opening set. I invited this Rotterdam-based DJ and producer because I admire her raw, 90's inspired style and was curious to see how she would approach an opening set. In this hour-long mix, she demonstrates how to create an energetic opening set with a perfect build-up for what is to come. The flow of the mix is impressive, and the breakbeat-like tracks are particularly well-executed.

Eva shares her thoughts on an opening set: “In general, my sets probably wouldn't be considered typical openers, so I made it a personal challenge when Sklasi asked me to be part of this new mix series. For me, an opening is perfect if it really prepares people for what to expect for the rest of the event. I hope to prove with this set that you can take the audience along in a gentle way, while staying true to your own sound.”

It's exciting that she has included one of her own tracks from her latest EP, "BLIEP EP," released on MEUK Collective, a label she co-curates with Denn Punk. MEUK Collective is an old-school techno collective and record label that recently hosted their first event and is definitely a collective to watch!

Eva Bohnen is a DJ and producer based in Rotterdam. Her love for underground techno stems from the rave scene of the '90s and the alternative punk culture where her roots lie. These influences are evident in her sound, characterized by its raw intensity and high-pitched, repetitive synth sequences.
