Now, steering his own ship with Fresh Air Records, he unveils the “Body Mechanics” EP, a four-track journey that masterfully stitches together the robust grids of Techno with the infectious, colourful grooves of House Music, resulting in a truly vibrant listen.

The artist describes his motivation with genuine passion, stating: “Once again, with a blend of trepidation and joy, I’ve curated a collection of four tunes that resist tidy categorisation. Creating Fresh Air Records was my way of fostering raw, honest expression with the intention of creating music that breathes with both novelty and soul.” This commitment to unfiltered creativity is the very heartbeat of the entire release, giving each composition its unique character and depth.

This vision is immediately apparent in the opening cut, “Loco Ono.” The track is a brilliant, off-kilter rollercoaster that perfectly showcases Ashok’s Goa roots. The arrangement feels like a psychedelic ritual, built on a foundation of expertly swung, trance-inducing percussion that compels your body to move. A wonderfully peculiar synth melody worms its way through the mix, creating a playful yet hypnotic atmosphere that is entirely captivating.

Founded over a year ago by Adam Morrin (Adamant) and soon joined by good friend Niall Healy, Doubleu has dramatically grown from a small ambitious idea to a well established group in the electronic music scene.
