We're closer to sunset than sunrise, the last rays of summer's sun casting the long shadows once again. We can sprint to save the day, but those shadows only get taller. Autumn is on the way, and the long afternoons that felt like dreams soon will be just that. But there's something beautiful about this time of year, when the sun is till here to bake you, but the heat feels a bit more urgent than lazy. Something is around the corner. Something big is coming. 

I spend entirely too much time on these mixes, and I'm sorry its been so long since my last one. I was a bit paralyzed by something that kept me from actually sitting down to make one. I don't know if maybe my tastes are changing, or if I was feeling some weight, but I really put this one off. I'm so glad that I felt the need again last week. An interesting side note is that I didn't use a single remix in this mix (except for one of my own). I'm not sure why or how that happened, but I know its pretty odd. Maybe my tastes are really changing? 

I'm very proud of this mix, and it completely represents how I'm feeling right now. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Sunday. That most hallowed of days. Be you just finishing your night out at an after, after party or just unwinding with a nice glass of vino, we embrace the end of the weekend for what it is, a chilled out affair.  Thus, we thought it was about time we started soundtracking this most underrated of times, asking our favourites DJs to dig through their record boxes and serve up something a little different for our brand new Chilled Transmission series.

After last weeks more funk infused mix from Homeboy, fun loving German duo Satin Jackets serve up set of selections designed primarily to make you feel, well human again. We'll freely admit the cold weather and the fact it's still not quite Christmas yet had begun to take its toll on us here at DT towers but luckily Tim B and Den Ishu were on hand to cure our chronic case of SAD with an hour long mix of super sexy, infectious house music that's pure summertime.

"Every mix takes us a few months to find the right music. We pour my heart and soul into it and I hope to be able to take the listener on a little journey" the boys explain. "It doesn’t really matter where to as long as you can close your eyes and let it take you places."

Tempelhof, is the name of the former abandoned Berlin commercial airport, which, recently opened to the public represents a positive & Symbolic reappropriation of an old iconic building highly marked by History.
The remix by David Carretta transports the original version to an even more brutal sci-fi soundtrack. It’s a futuristic hommage to David Cronenberg tainted with analog science fiction. It will also be available on the French Magazine Tsugi Compilation in March.

Already supported & Charted by Laurent Garnier, The Hacker, Acid Washed, Alexander Robotnick, Slam, Hard Ton, Panteros666, Christopher Kah, Equitant, Yasmin Gate Plastique De Rêve... , Tempelhof announces Electrosexual’s debut album Art Support Machine to be released in April. 13 songs themed after machines, androids and music beeing the interface for their identity. 2 songs will feature the vocal participations from Hard Ton (Gigolo) & Hanin Elias (formerly of Atari Teenage Riot)

To start "Autumn Selections 02", we have Airdraw's energetic club mix of "Face To Face" by Marsh. The track begins with piano chords that are laced with delicate plucks and hints of percussive rhythm. As the song progresses, we're guided into a momentary layer of ambience before jumping into an array of energy and celebration.

A testament to its title, "Adrift" by Forerunners glides us across a vast, boundless opening of dreamy pads and reverberated soundscapes.
