Lyrics written in collaboration with Newark Co-Production, a mental health and wellbeing group with guitar by Long Toe and bass by Mark of Manuff..cheers pals!

The lyrics were written for the theme, "When we were young..." and prompts such as "Parties were, school was, work was, spare time was, people were," etc.

An elderly army veteran, John, responded with, "Rock n Roll," to the question, "When you were young, life was...?" It simply HAD to be the title and summed up the essence of the group's general nostalgia for the good old days. What it highlighted for me was that there was a sense of bitterness about modern life and towards the youth, which I definitely get and understand, but also recognise that it needn't be there, that we need to start looking at all the amazing people and things that the modern day has brought and be excited to learn from the young and in turn, deserve their respect by valuing them. There is much to be said for, 'the way things were,' but equally, there was a lack of freedom for many.

My work with many people in the community has taught me that we need more going on; more groups, more events, more markets, more activities and they need to be affordable or at least offer a sliding scale of cost. Get out there and share your passions and skills with others whether online or in person. So many people will join you because so many people are just looking for something to do. Rock and Roll with Manuff

Basically a comment on being stigmatised by having mental health issues.
One of the group member's friends was, at that time, under supervision on a mental health ward so we wrote it with her in mind as well as presenting a collection of everybody's personal experiences with mental health issues.

Alone

A trash written by Lewis, Mudje, Gabriel, Jayden and Dom feat. Doucharella at a Cat-D prison.. the theme was given to them and they came up with this. Respect always :-)

Wings

Written by Emile Grand and recorded in a tiny, crappy room in a D-Cat! Emile did 8 years longer than his original sentence due to it being an IPP sentence. Absolute joke but that's another story. He's finally out!!
