The Wanderers

The long-overdue timing and gap removal fix for Release CCCV back on NovemDeka album.  The 2 second gap after "modus vivendi" was something of a scandal at the time.

This is not just the gap fix : there are other subtle speed and hesitation fixes in it plus a very slight speedup.

The game jam called for a piece indicative of Sunrise and since I had not done anything for the Silmarillion list around this in-universe period of time other than the actual crossing of the Helcaraxë up to Mereth Aderthad, I decided "ok here let's do this".

The map of Beleriand in this variant was done by NoobShyCo of DeviantArt and his roommate (Antoine Becquet) in about 2012.  It is altered to a Mercator projection by myself and made two earlier appearances (release CXXXVII and CCXLVI)

I liked the result of doing the Mercator and realized suddenly that the bend of ancient Arda's geometry matched this end product, if we pretend that the Chasm of Ilmen was the black space at the extreme left beyond the diagonal bound of the projection.

It would have been more proper to draw some remainder of Araman's coast personally but time constraints didn't permit.

The idea of the game jam's prompt was to evoke a cave.  Doesn't specify what kind, could be spelunking alone but I went with a joke that it's a D&D thing where the the adventurer is in the one place that isn't deadly and stuff is closing in.  Gelatinous cubes in all directions etc.
