Happier Off The Grid (Alpha Remaster)

A Fast Alpha Remaster to see if I could get it under 10 minutes (9min 57sec).  This wasn't too bad to work out, but the question was: in a piece where the gaps are the piece's character, where are the flaws that are -long- gaps and where are things you instead would leave alone?

Nite Prowl 1 was at the same time originally an accomplishment as the first really ambitious multitrack piece on the FA-08 and at the same time a trainwreck in timing.

And so having laid those traps for myself I had to fight my way out.

Nite Prowl 1 (Alpha Remaster)

Forbes as a track in its original making, was for me like Grey 17 Is Missing was for J. Michael Straczynski in Babylon 5's production.  Many many issues with the original so like Nite Prowl 1 remastering it was a headache.  I decided since the multitrack still had unadorned piano for some of the instruments on accident, that I would use Mixcraft's global effects on each track.
So being more involved than a timing re-fix this is the first remaster track to just jump to Beta designation instead of Alpha and then for funsies I decided to take the Beta Male entendre for the version naming.

Not On The Cover Of Forbes, Time To Work (Beta-Male Wagechucker Remaster)

The consensus after the game jam submission on Itch.IO was that I had gone one version too-far and added too much synth-lead to it.  This penultimate version lacks those flaws and is consequently nicer to listen to.

You're wondering how that could correlate with a mountain scene.  What if this is a Japanese software dev who's figured out how to live off the grid near the ski resort at Sapporo and he's looking out the window...so he's tippy tappiting on his oyayubi shifuto and drinking something warm and restorative during the winter.
