Dougie Kentucky (born December 31st 1990) is an American song writer from Butler, Kentucky who is commonly referred to by the abbreviated name of DKY.  Growing up DKY first explored his musical talents in the hip hop world releasing multiple mixtapes over the web until finally getting back to his roots and where he should have been the entire time when releasing the free single "Maybe" an R&B country tune about a young man trying to find love. DKY was never shy about where he came from and who he was even while producing and releasing a more urban genre of music. "Maybe" finally gave him that confidence to embrace the country music he grew up surrounded by and helped him pushed forward with his first Itunes release "Money In The Bank" a pop country/EDM song about picking a beautiful girl up in his truck by the lake side. Though his music still sounds a bit Hip Hop/Pop at times there is no question this young man was born and raised country. His genre crossing material is everything that makes DKY "Dougie Kentucky".
