Dov1 is one of pioneers of bass music in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a producer his sounds are rooted in heavy bass and a blending digital and organic textures. Previously reviewed and featured by iDJ, Mixmag, URB and a wide range of quality publications, and his work at the root level of the Bay Area music scene makes his influence is felt from the underground upwards. 

As founder & owner of Muti Music he develops a large amount of talent and curates the sound of a lot of the music coming out of the US west coast bass music scenes. He recently also launched the new sub-labels to Muti Music, Medicine (with An-ten-nae) and Producer Dojo (with ill.Gates) and in the past has also managed and curated talent at Cyberset, Earthdance, EyePhunk and Fuel Records.  
Dov1 has rocked dance floors alongside many luminaries of Dance culture including Diplo, Bassnectar, Opiuo, ill.Gates, Gasslamp Killer, Excision, Eprom, Tipper, Freq Nasty, Zeds Dead to name a few. His diversity has also allowed him to hold it down in unusual situations like opening for Ferry Corsten, Boy George, Shpongle and even playing alongside and jamming with Shafqat Ali Khan.

Dov1 also produces under the name DnA with An-ten-nae, and has also produced collaborative tunes with ill.Gates, HNGVR, Hooves and Funk Monsta.

The genre bending, sub rattling, west coast bass slinging Chillage Records is back at it again with it’s 5th Installment of the Crunksauce compilation series. The Northern California based collective has been a fixture in the west coast bass music scene for more than half a decade bringing us delicious bass infused glitch hop, future beats, dubstep, trap and everything in between.

For the first time Chillage Records held open submissions for the Crunksauce compilation, inviting up and coming and established producers to submit their songs for a chance at a spot on the compilation, resulting in 19 tracks of bass heavy goodness from core Chillage members and many new faces adding their own flavor and style to the mix. Chillage Records will be releasing 3 tracks from the compilation a week for the next month a half so do yourself a favor and tune in below for all the bass heavy deliciousness coming your way!

The Utah-based audiophile and producer Foxtail reinvents his own wheel with Revontulet. Foxtail’s sound is categorically fluid in every way, and he succeeds in delivering on that fluidity yet again. Each aspect of his songwriting process has continued to mature, from the precise production to the crisp engineering. This maturation process has resulted in a tonally balanced set of five songs that together weave an emotional membrane.

Each track pairs off with the one ahead of it in a spacious, harmonious dance. The synthesis patching across the release is consistent and direct, creating a continuity that holds the record together like glue. Two tracks feature careful, syncopated vinyl cuts that dart through the percussion layers, combining dancefloor sentimentalities with downtempo ambience. Foxtail’s rhythmic structures are concise and hypnotic, carrying each composition straight from headphones to headspace.

Returning fans will remember his last release, Kitsune, as a melodious terminal into the Foxtail audio mythology. Revontulet is its natural successor, honing in on and evolving his undeniably dynamic style. Grouped together with his first release, Vosmana, these three EP’s makeup a dynamic trilogy that spans across the musical mindset of Foxtail.
