Tel Aviv-born queer pop multi-instrumentalist and producer DOV (née Dov Eagle) moved to NYC after serving in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) until age 21. DOV’s music encapsulates his experience as an LGBTQ immigrant searching for love and acceptance and eventually finding it in himself. His unique production style has been described by Line of Best Fit as “music that glistens with contrasting textures” and by Clash as “striking, deeply original work, at once pop but also deeply alien.”

Israeli artist-producer Noam Helfer makes a bold return under the new moniker Age is a Box, with his debut single featuring the vocal talents of Sasha Daniel.

‘Our Religion Is Truth’ showcases Helfer’s inherent rhythmic energy alongside pensive and inspired lyricism, as he explores themes of growth and self-bettering. The pair’s distinctive tones and fluttering melodies are glued together by stirring vocal harmonies that pepper a track that is so addictive it hurts.  Known for crafting mercurial soundscapes, the inspired artist’s sound encapsulates the electric atmospheres of Nicolas Jaar, Forest Swords and Bonobo, and the soulful immediacy of Kaytranada and Sylvan Esso.

DOV’s music encapsulates his experience as an LGBTQ immigrant searching for love and acceptance and eventually finding it in himself. DOV is now sharing Mind High,  his first release of 2020 and the first single from his upcoming EP It Feels Right, due on July 24.

Mind High was created with DOV's good friend and frequent collaborator, fellow Israeli vocalist and queer artist Tesha. With an underlying snarling Korg bassline, the track glides through R'n'B melodies, jangling percussion and menacing guitar plucks, while Tesha's auto-tuned vocals sound both uncanny and alien.

DOV shares, "I was thinking about my everyday inner battles; against my demands, stress, and anxieties. With substances I could roam free in my deepest thoughts, open to what may come, and what needs to go. A mind high slows down time and quiets the noise. It provides a stage for your words and your emotions, as weird as they may be, and helps them find a space for expression."

Liran Leibman, Head Chef at ZIZI in the heart of Chelsea, morphs to the alias artist, Leroy Brown when the moonlight casts over. Brooklyn-resident established himself spinning at queer functions in his origin hometown of Tel Aviv and gradually extended his artistry to NYC. In Cookie Series #019, Leroy delivers a super-sonic mix with 90's acid, house to new techno, and snips of drum and bass jams.
