feat_E and Rabiat are two producers from northern Germany. These guys are in so many different ways connected, you can also claim them as relatives. The two producers created a special style of music, which is a combination of dark-disco, synth-wave, influenced by feat_E and classic minimaltechno, psytech influences by Rabiat. Over a longer period of time, they founded an EP with bouncing, funky tracks and delivered a punchy, pressure-filled package. The „End of Time“ EP includes three originals and a remix by „Der Eva“ a resident of the Hamburg-based record label slowpunch. Many thanks to Kabelkiste for the great mastering.

In physics, it is often linked to the expansion of the universe. In everyday language, infinity is used metaphorically to describe something extremely large, like an infinite number of possibilities. No matter how it is perceived, infinity always evokes a sense of greatness and the incomprehensible. The first remix of Infinity is crafted by the one and only Kapoor. His version features a powerful bassline and a catchy main lead. Combined with the vocals of LASKÀ, a new track is added to the Infinity collection of great downtempo music. 1. Wie würdest du deine Biographie formulieren, die mit nur einem Satz auf alle 5 W Fragen (WER? WIE? WAS? WANN? WO?) eine Antwort für uns hat? 

Ich bin Eric Röhl, 29 Jahre alt und komme aus der kleinen Stadt Anklam in MV. Durch mein Umfeld bin ich zur Musik gekommen bzw. habe ich großes Interesse dafür entwickelt. Ich spiele hauptsächlich einen minimalen und deepen Clubsound. Wichtig ist für mich dabei, dass ich handmade spiele. 2007/2008 kam ich, dank der Vinylcheck Crew, an meine ersten Gigs. In internationalen bekannten Clubs von Berlin wie zum Beispiel im Watergate und auch in mehreren Clubs in MV habe ich schon auflegen dürfen.  

2. Wann & wo hattest du eigentlich dein erstes Mal? 
Ähm ja oder besser gefragt in welcher Situation, hast du das erste Mal wirklich bewusst an einem Mischpult gestanden?

Mit 12 Jahren stand ich zum ersten Mal bewusst hinter den Plattenspielern von meinen Cousin. Diese waren schon zur damaligen Zeit als DJ tätig. 

3. Was genau haben deine Eltern dazu gesagt, als du ihnen gesagt hast, dass du ein DJ werden willst?

Meine Eltern waren anfangs eher weniger begeistert oder besser gesagt skeptisch, weil ich oft Sachen angefangen aber nie zu Ende gebracht habe. Doch nach einer gewissen Zeit haben sie gesehen, dass ich mit Herz und Seele dabei bin. Sie stehen positiv hinter mir. 

4. Wie würdest du deine Musik charakterisieren?

Ich selbst würde meine Musik als minimal, deep und Underground charakterisieren.
 
5. Wo hat für dich Musik ihre Grenzen?

Für mich hat Musik Grenzen, wenn es sich nur noch um Geld geht und nicht mehr um die Musik an sich. Sie sollte nicht als Geldeinnahmequelle genutzt werden. Ebenfalls sollte man Musik nicht ins Lächerliche gezogen werden. 

6. Deine DJ-Vorbilder früher waren?

Gaiser und Oliver Koletzki waren früher meine Vorbilder, mittlerweile hat sich jedoch sehr viel geändert.

7. Was denkst du, wie findet die Musikindustrie Talente?

Es gibt sehr viele DJ’s die niemand hört oder besser gesagt, bekannt werden, weil die Musikindustrie oberflächlich geworden ist und oft nur noch das Geld sieht, also meiner Meinung nach.

8. Welche Rolle spielt Performance-Musik heute? Bzw. welche Rolle spielt sie für dich?

Für mich als DJ zählt eine gewisse Aura und Ausstrahlung. Ich bin lieber dezent als auffällig und möchte mich dem Publikum gegenüber menschlich zeigen und nicht abgehoben wirken. 

9. Deine 3 häufigsten Gedanken wenn du gerade auflegst/spielst?

Ich überlege mir vor dem Auflegen wie ich anfange und ob die Technik so funktioniert, wie sie soll. Beim direkten Auflegen frage ich mich nur „Wo sind meine Kippen?“ 

10. Was machst du wenn mal dein (das) Equipment streikt?

Mir eine Alternative (Vinyl, CD oder USB) suchen, wenn es keine Alternative gibt, mach ich das Beste draus machen. Ich versuche es auf jeden Fall. 

11. Thema DJ's und ihre Markenzeichen ... 
Hast du vielleicht auch so ein gewisses Markenzeichen wie z.B. Cap, Outfit, etc.?

Meine Markenzeichen sind ein ernster festgefahrener Blick beim auflegen, meine Brille und meine Treue zu dem speziellen Sound, der in der nördlichen Region keine weitgefächerte Fanbase hat.

Findest du dich wieder? :)

Nein, ich erkenne mich darin nicht wieder. Mein Verhalten ist jedes Mal anders, da es ziemlich stimmungsabhängig bei mir ist.  

13. Welchen Weg schlägst du für deine weitere Zukunft ein und gibt es einen Plan B?

Direkte Ziele strebe ich nicht an, hoffe trotzdem auf musikalische Fortschritte. Es kommt was kommt.
