“Platinum” is a precision-built techno cut with a polished, metallic sheen. It opens on a restrained bed of high-gloss pads and a sinewy sub, then locks into a tight 4/4 with crisp transients and surgical low-end control. The main motif is a chromed chord stab that’s subtly pitch-bent and phase-sculpted, returning in evolving iterations like a refined machine cycle.

Sound design emphasizes hard surfaces and clean edges: granular shavings, brushed-steel noise, gated reverbs that snap shut, and a bassline that glides rather than growls. Midway through, the mix thins to a minimal filament—side-chained drones and a faint click—before the groove reassembles with added overtones and a firmer kick envelope. Automation is deliberate: micro-tilts in stereo width, narrow EQ lifts, and compressor releases timed to the bar.

The result is functional and high-fidelity: a streamlined driver for late sets, engineered for headroom and translation across big systems. “Platinum” balances luxury and restraint—slick enough for peak rooms, disciplined enough for long, controlled builds.

Ever since it's creation back around May-June of 2025, this song just finds different ways to re-invent itself. We could all learn something from Neon Cathedral; never stop working on yourself. This version is likely the most "synthwave-ish" version of this song yet, although they're all "synthwave." 

Unlike the rest of us who always break our New Year's resolutions, Neon Cathedral remains committed to self-improvement and growth.
