Hard to believe how time flies – it's been exactly 6 years, 4 months, and 19 days since we released our very first compilation. Back then, everything was new and we had no idea where the journey would take us. Over the years, downtempo has evolved significantly and continuously reinvented itself.

Today, we're releasing our tenth and - for now - final compilation. From the beginning, it was important to us to provide a platform for new and emerging artists – and up until this tenth compilation, we’re proud to say that no artist appeared more than once. For this special occasion, we're breaking with that tradition and have invited several long-time companions to join us in shaping this moment.

A big thank you to all the artists for their contributions, and to all our listeners for your continued support. Special thanks also go to Kilian Van de Water, whose unique style has always played a key role in creating the overall identity of our label.

After taking a year-long break from our monthly releases, we’re happy to return with recharged batteries and fresh motivation.

We’re starting off with a collaborative EP by our friends I.M.D, Herrhausen & Treindl, and Geplantes Nichtstun, aptly titled “Slow Trance Still Alive.”

With this release, we once again want to show the full range and diversity of our favorite genre together with the artists. The EP features four varied and driving tracks that invite you to dream, drift away, and lose yourself in deep grooves and warm soundscapes.

Join us on this journey and float hypnotic pulse and subtle energy that make “Slow Trance Still Alive” a beautiful reminder that this sound still has plenty to say.

Leave now or stay a little longer? Eat another ice cream or better not? We all know these moments, not knowing what the best decision is and being in between. The EP from Feinheitsbrei provides the soundtrack for those who are undecided and who would rather like to have everything instead of choosing.

In his two original tracks, our long-time companion draws the listener under his spell with a unique sound design, characterized by dreamy melodies, driving basslines and subtle sound elements. Planet Caravan, Hvitling, apaj and Ykonosh breathed their own life into the tracks in an extremely creative way, giving it a distinctive personal tone.

Therefore we want to thank all artists involved for their great work, as well as our master mind Haunted Water and our artwork wizard Kilian Van De Water.

As the night falls and the stars come out to play, the time has come for the first EP of the duo Bassara from Berlin. Get ready to experience a groovy, immersive soundscape, filled with deep bass and arpeggiated melodies.

But Bassara is not alone on their journey. Deep Ändi, Flave & Urem have joined forces to add their own dirty touch to the mix, bringing a new level of intensity to the sound.

Our latest podcast is a great example of how diverse our favorite genre is.

In mysterious ways, paths from the past sometimes cross once again, leading to wonderful outcomes. Such is the case here, as we are thrilled to welcome our longtime companion, Maxi aka @kerosino, to our label for his upcoming EP.

His dark, midtempo-leaning sound perfectly suits the gloomy season and had us convinced from the very first listen. The two original tracks are complemented by equally compelling remixes from @air_horse_one, @richardelcox, and @matijasound.

We're delighted that this release has come to fruition and hope you enjoy it thoroughly. As always, the artwork has been contributed by our graphic wizard, Kilian Van de Water.

Of course, we're talking about @frida-darko, who for years has consistently delivered fantastic and carefully curated sound.

Being a part of the @rebelliondertraumer and @station-endlos-halle crews and having launched her own label project @tipping-point-music in recent months, one can always be curious what this versatile artist has in store for us next.

At the beginning of October, we are releasing an EP that we are especially excited about! After dazzling us with several remixes over the past few months, the time has come to introduce you to the debut EP from @laaarmusic on our label, titled "Of Mind and Matter".

The two original tracks from our talented Israeli friend are a playful and dreamy journey, reminiscent of the driving yet mellow sound that first drew us to the world of downtempo. To complete the release, we've added two thrilling remixes from @deisenmusic and @jonasfasching, each bringing their own unique interpretation.

Right on time for the start of the new decade, we are happy to present you our new down.tape. This time 17 different artists take you on a journey through different worlds and styles of downtempo music. We want to say thank you to the artists for making this possible.

Bassara - Obscuria

All good things come in five, that's why our new compilation is out now.
For down.tape°5 we have put together 12 tracks which are all special in their own way.

As always we dive into the different worlds of downtempo, but this time every single track has an individual dance floor character which will get your feet to work. We want to express our longing & love for our usual normality and hope that the dance floors will be filled again in 2021.
