https://soundcloud.com/pullichomba are since a while one of the hottest down- and midtempo acts in Germany. A good portion of bounce meets melody and organic elements. A mixture that simply fits. That's why we're so happy that the two of them joining our Live-Special series with an outstanding recording from the Beate Uwe. Look forward to almost 2 hours of danceable music. It's worth it.

✔️ What are your musical influences? What are your musical backgrounds? 

Our musical influences come definitely from the dancefloor. Feeling the music and connecting with the story of the DJ is something that both of us really enjoy as dancers. And that is something that we try to bring to our Sets as well... Telling our story, connecting hearts and grooving all together in one rhythm is something that we enjoy most about being DJs. Before we met each other, we both liked folk music very much, still do ;). Since Chomba moved from Chile to Australia he got into the electronic music scene and started to enroll in ableton production classes. When Pulli moved to Berlin she went from D'n'B to Balkan Beats partys until she found her love for electronic music.

Since we met and decided to make music together our style is constantly shaping. First, we lived some years in Chile and played some afro house (our first release was actually an afro house track). We love to combine melodies and vocals with rhythmical elements. Back then we were more influenced by South American rhythms, sounds and elements. Since we moved to Berlin in 2022 we have been more and more influenced by the Berlin music scene, which has way darker and bassier sounds on the plate for us.

✔️ Thoughts about the Set:
It's interesting now to think about our musical backgrounds and analyze the Set we played for the New Year's Party at Beate Uwe. It was 6 am and the dancefloor was still super crowded. We went from some melodic tunes to indie dance and it even got a little discoish at the end. It was a really interesting and funny journey trying to catch the vibe of the crowd. It's also a journey into our past - connecting the melodic, rhythmical elements with some darker tunes. It was a lot of fun.

✔️ What is a good afterhour for you?
What we like about afterhours, is that there is always this unique vibe that was created by everybody together during the night... The afterhours we played were all pretty different, some were faster and darker and others were softer and more melodic.
We love both types but our hearts definitely go more with the softer ones. Creating that special vibe, where everybody is just enjoying, eyes closed, forgetting about everything that happens around us, just being in that moment together- is such a privilege. And it doesn't matter if there is a full dancefloor or just a few people left - it's about the connection and love that everybody feels in that moment.

This is a very late tribute to the 2023, long after the days of this past memorable year are numbered. Maybe, it took so long for me to upload this set because I was busy, maybe because it was harder to say goodbye than expected. To finally do so, I would like to share this recording with you guys, which was played at @suedpol-hamburg on Dec. 16th. 2023. "Trio Infernale" refers to my two very dear friends and me, who accompanied me.

Being one of the first electronic night clubs, I have ever visited, it means the world to me that I got the opportunity to debut in the holy halls of Südpol in 2023. THANK YOU so much for the invitation!!! For me, this venue has somehow managed to not only maintain its attraction to a vibrant & colorful crowd, but thereby also its unique vibe, I fell in love with years ago. 

About last year:
Let’s be honest... I didn’t feel too nostalgic about 2023 coming to an end since it has been a non-stop freaking hassle, - serving challenge after challenge with little to no time for rest & recreation. 

It was the year, I found myself struggling at various tasks/ areas in life, leaving me to feel lonely & insecure at times. It‘s been the year, my organization skills oscillated between catastrophic & respectable, resulting in me finally achieving an additional degree, a lifelong appointment in my academic career & taking over new responsibilities for my @afterhour-sounds family.
It was the year, I got the chance to debut at Fusion & Fiasco Festival, Kater Blau & Mensch Meier, I travelled to Jordan & Oslo, only to name a few amazing venues/ places, I‘ve been lucky enough to visit/ perform at. 
It’s was the year, I spend 316 hours on trains or /and got stranded somehere on the way. And finally, it was the year of goodbyes & new beginnings, of leaving my old home & stumbling upon a new one - shattering my future plans to make room for new adventures. 

Though, that’s okay because DJing, or music in general, is remaining the one passion in my life, that will always be there, in which I find comfort whenever it’s needed & that nobody can take away from me. But equally important is that this love has lead me to (re-)meet inspiring people, old & new ones, many of which have remained or grown close friends. 

So, thanks to all my dearest companions for your love, support & patience with me - I can’t wait to embark on the Expedition 2024, hopefully at some point towards Südpol again 🔬💥🔭

Völlig getarnt und lauernd liegt der junge Galagodennis im Dickicht 🌿.
Lediglich seine zur visuellen 
Orientierung ausgeprägten Glotzkorken leuchten hervor 👀.

Feuchtnasenaffenbabys lieben Grummeltechno und verköstigen sich vorwiegend mit Früchten 🍌 und Baumsäften. Erst im späteren Entwicklungsstadium wagen sich die nacktaktiven Primaten an den Hefestamm 🪵 . So schlabbert auch Galagodennis fortlaufend den gutmannschen Weizentropfen aus den Rinden 🍺.

Zur Reviermarkierung und Kommunikation nutzen die kleinen Säugetiere Natursekt auf Blättern, sowie schallreiche Melodien
mit auffällig säuglingsartigem Geschrei, 
was ihnen den Spitznamen „Bushbabys“ verleiht 👶🏽.

Längst ist aus Galagodennis ein wahrer Hit unter den Primaten geworden 🐒 . Hauptmerkmal sind die basslastigen und anregenden Ausrufe, die die Wälder und Augsburgs Umgebung aufwirbeln. Galagodennis, nun besser bekannt als Denny Dipper - der Schamane der Schallwellen, krabbelte schon in Peters Garden 🌴 , mit den Diskotieren und prägte die Diskofauna 🪩.
Plötzlich sah man den nasalen Dennis 2017 am Meer und lange konnte man das freche Wesen am Taj-Ma-Schall bewundern.

Mit speziellen Messgeräten werden Tonreihenfolgen für uns Homo sapiens wahrnehmbar 🎙️. Im Basskarltheater #11 des Fiasco e.V. gibt es die auditive Dokumentation des Wahnsinns ab 16.02.2024 auf Soundcloud zu genießen. Gala Go Denny! 🙉

Corios @ Karneval der Kollektive '24 Köln

Sending us the first love notes from spring early february gave us a short glimpse of the warmer seasons. Though winter is now pushing us back into our cozy living rooms, @madmoiselle_myrna managed to catch some of the first warm sun rays of the year. Nimbly she cooped them up into a beautiful journey of soft synthesizers, deep melodies and a  cover of dreams. ✨

If you're enjoying some me time, treating yourself to a bubbly bath with a rather big piece of cake or looking for shelter in the warmth comfort of your friends companionship, this is the perfect soundtrack to hibernate through the last days of winter! ❄️

🎵 Der heutige KataHaifisch Podcast ist ein Live-Recording von zwei waschechten Easy Tiger Crewmembern. Slow Revolt, hinter diesem Pseudonym verbirgt sich ein DJ-Duo, bestehend aus Felix Flowerstone und Schwalheim. Dieses zweistündige Set ist ein absoluter Stimmungsmacher für eine gediegene Afterhour. Am besten genießt man es entspannt in der Sonne sitzend, einen prickelnden Sekt schlürfend, auf einer kuscheligen Decke. Angeregte Gespräche und Gelächter geben den Ton an, während bouncige Basslinien, scharfe Synths und helle Hi-Hats die atmosphärische Hintergrundkulisse bilden.
