SecondNature is the psytrance project of Andrew Pewsey. Laying down roots at an early age he made a name for himself on the South African Psytrance scene in Johannesburg between 2004 and 2010 under an old alias Smurf with Red Eye Productions and Amoeba Records.

Now living on the North Island of New Zealand, with a more mature sound which is a combination of crisp percussion, melodic basslines, infectious rhythms, and psychedelic soundscapes that flow together in a way that creates an immersive experience and unsurpassed energy for the listener and dance floor alike.

I have a lot of fun mixing these old school grooves that play more in the mid-range sequence area with this newfangled deep hypnotic groove production. At the last few events, I've been slipping electro sounds into the mix more often, and my enjoyment of them is growing and growing, but I'd like to keep the groove and the electro/breakbeat tracks more separate in future, depending on the length of the set and the event. 
I would still like to expand my skills and my track horizon and practice more in the wavy electro direction. Groove is still a lot of fun for me. 
There are so many things to do and learn, but only limited time.

About the set: 

What's a bit more challenging and therefore more error-prone is all the layering on 3 decks. 
I particularly enjoy this and would like to develop it further. 
The set is not mastered, which I don't think is necessary to post it on my SoundCloud account. 
I'd love to hear your feedback and I'm excited to see what the future holds. 🎛️
