David Tsholofelo Mathaba Aka DJ D-phlo is a young, vibrant, up &amp; coming DJ &amp; music producer. Born in Pretoria, but raised in Johannesburg.
D-phlo is fairly new on the scene but is already leaving his mark.
He started his DJ career in 2007 and has been going strong since. In 2009 he won his first DJ battle held in Norwood, then in 2010 he made it into the top 6 (Finalists) of the Gauteng Carnival DJ Competition (Pale Ya Rona) with his mega mixing skills. A group was formed from this competition called the Gauteng Top 6 (GT6) , which consisted of DJ D-phlo, DJ Shimza, DJ Menstar, DJ Thabz, DJ Tumzo &amp; DJ Dede.

The four adjudicators for the 2011 Gauteng Carnival DJ Competition at “Ko’spotong” (Ghandi Square)
D-phlo is predominantly a house DJ but also caters for Hip-Hop as well as kwaito crowds. “I always try to cater for the crowds with not only limiting my self to one genre of music. It’s not an easy task because you can’t satisfy everyone but you can always TRY. I striving to better myself in any way I can”.
He has shared stage with international Guru’s such as the likes of Ralf Gum, Halo, Lars Berenroth &amp; Jojo Flores as well as local legends such as Oskido, Fresh &amp; Vinny da Vinci. 
D-phlo is currently the resident DJ @ Stones in Melville on saturdays
