Ahoy Voyagers,

To round up this great year we prepared a fresh DJ mix, including our trademark sounds. This set also marks the 1 year anniversary of Pleasure Voyage. In the last 12 months we played at fantastic open-air events, where we met old- a new friends, we received super cool guest mixes for our channel, established a record label and put out two releases. Does it get any better than this? For sure! In 2020 we will set the bar higher, because as Ellen Johnson Sirleaf once said “If your dreams don't scare you, they aren't big enough!”

Some of our plans for the next year:

- Release original music - to perform live
- Guest mixes on monthly basis
- Start a party series in our home town, Budapest
- Playing gigs in Italy, Spain, Portugal and Brazil

Its been quite a minute, but we are back with a heavenly one. The french producer and dj Closed Paradise, cracks this new instalment.

We have been Closed Paradise devotees for years - his lush vibes and productions are centered around solid grooves and seamless slips between deep house, soul and deep disco.     

This time he cuts it deep, raw and sophisticated. No doubt, the french do it better!

This is a mix I must have made somewhere mid 90ies and were already classics back then (tape is called De Mijnes Classics II). Most of the tracks are still tracks that I like, which is not always the case with old mixes. Influenced by my time in iT Amsterdam mostly these vocal tracks were the tracks that coloured my nights and shaped my musical memories

Downtown Party Network might once have been a short yet magical period of New York City nightlife. Today the name stands for music from another side of the world - Lithuania. An entity combined of experiences, influences, events, trips, and adventures in music that have come together during the last 20 years.

Downtown Party Network’s music has been signed by german Get Physical Music and Dirt Crew Recordings, british Futureboogie and Anjunadeep, belgian Eskimo Recordings and australian Future Classic to name a few. The releases have been favorited by DJ Harvey, Dixon, Laurent Garnier, Groove Armada, Tensnake, Ame, Jamie Jones, Sasha.

‘Days Like These’ by Downtown Party Network released on legendary Eskimo Recordings back in 2009 became a dancefloor destroyer, hitting record shops’ charts and being played by countless amount of djs all around the world.

‘Space Me Out’, released in October 2013 by Silence Music, became one of the most charted tracks on Resident Advisor in 2013. Mario Basanov, Hannes Fischer and Musk accompanied the original track with brilliant remixes. Each of them received a significant amount of attention, as well as a melodramatic music video that was filmed in spooky Lithuanian nature. A year later, a new version of ‘Space Me Out’ was revamped and presented exclusively on ‘Deep House Amsterdam’ just before Amsterdam Dance Event and a brand new remix of the worldwide hit, crafted by the legendary producer Ewan Pearson. 

In the last years DPN had his shows in New York, San Fransisco, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney, Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Bangkok, Seoul, Mexico City, Jakarta, London, Berlin, Bali,  Bucharest, Ho Chi Minh, Moscow, etc.
