When most people set out to create studies to enhance their skills the subject matter typically ends up being something evocative. Naturally, I made one of Undertale/Deltarune era Toby Fox lol.

My main takeaway from this exercise is that Fox's bread and butter are melodies that are simple yet catchy, with the appropriate backing and percussion to supplement them. My goal was to pursue this line of thought to the best of my ability, utilizing the same sort of rhythms throughout the track, most of which can even be heard in the first few seconds. Thematically, I can see this being an upbeat area theme in the first half but it loses all pretense of that once the shreddage and UGK kick in so who knows. In his defense, his repertoire is larger than most people give him credit for but I stuck with something familiar since that seems to be his signature style.

As for what Madeline from hidden indie gem Celeste is doing in the thumbnail with Toby, I don't really have an avatar to represent myself so I just drew her. As for why her specifically, something about heat from fire, don't look too deep into it haha.

Next up is Lena Raine or Flashygoodness, I can't decide which one would end up being cooler.

It's a high energy metal performance type song that serves as a boss theme for showing off against a deranged version of Sans, a very popular character from UNDERTALE. Since the original captured the live performance so well and was so long, I decided to slide my patented Drop0ff shades on and shake up the formula with many unique elements. The song portrays chaos, confusion, and a clash of intense emotions utilizing powerful instrumentation. Screeching guitars, spiking drums, and an array of synths keep the song at a high energy that will have you thanking your local sunglassed musician, Drop0ff.
