Moon Gel are a blues/rock outfit consisting of long-time musical collaborators guitarist/vocalist 'Dr. Baby Biscotti' and drummer Andy. After the breakup of their previous band, Edinburgh swamp blues outfit Dirty Monet, Biscotti went on to front the gourmet electro-punk n' roll group Chateau Greyskull (RIP) and was Jimmy in the ned themed Led Zepp tribute band 'Ned Zeppelin'. Biscotti and Andy's paths crossed again and in September 2010, Moon Gel was born, bringing to London-town a revolutionary new blend of sonic psychedelic lubricant.

This is a page to archive choons I quite like. These are mostly bedroom recordings, sometimes with friends, sometimes with a drum machine :) some are quite lo-fi, so apologies..

SLOW WOLF like the city, but dream of mountains, forests, the sea, and rocks – big rocks; and log cabins, they’re pretty good.  When not building dens or stalking bison, they make music that strips away the frivolity of modern life and connects with more basic human emotions; often by evoking imagery of the natural world and the struggles faced by all in the animal kingdom.

They are a folk band with with more than a touch of blues; they interweave finger picking with soulful fiddle hooks, intricate guitar lines and haunting vocals, while delicate bouzouki, brooding bass and driving percussion round up the pack.

Regulars of London’s folk scene, rumours and superstitions have it Slow Wolf will release their debut album on April 11th 2014.

Strictly vinyl jungle and D&B DJ way back when playing as resident at Big n Bashy in Edinburgh... now in Shanghai as a resident at URVC playing disco, funk, soul (mainly on vinyl).
