Two shepard tones one going up one down, panning across the stereo scene independently, pan rate determined by two separate LFOs.  Then all mashed into something slightly different again with a granular audio processor.  You have been warned.

Some songs come easy but this song is 30 years in the making. 30 years ago at the National Folk Festival there was display celebrating early Indigenous music in Australia, and along with photos of Wallaga Lake Gumleaf Band and the like there was a short essay about Hero Black who travelled on the river boats and played the triple row accordion. It was said that he could play all the tunes of the day as well as writing his own. His most famous song was The Menindee Waltz. I scribbled some notes. Fast forward 10 years and I'm walking on the beach and a tune comes into my head, I go home and pick it out on the mandolin and say "What is this tune?", and I pick up my old notes from 10 years ago. 10 years later the song is still in a raw state so I decide to do some more research via the internet and find a few more bits and pieces, but the song is still little more than a tune. Finally 10 years later  with a bit more research I got around to punching the song into shape. I can find no record of the original tune.
