This limited edition, 10th anniversary disc highlights the best of the SFJAZZ Collective, from the fresh arrangements of the music of Herbie Hancock, Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk and Stevie Wonder, to their own stimulating compositions. Recorded during the Collective’s four-night residency on the Robert N. Miner Auditorium stage at the SFJAZZ Center in October 2013, this recording celebrates a 10-year musical legacy, and what’s coming next.

Obed Calvaire's funky, percussion-driven arrangement of Joe Henderson's "Fire" (The Elements, Milestone, 1973) is a single off the SFJAZZ Collective's new album "Live: SFJAZZ Center 2014, The Music of Joe Henderson and New Compositions."

This limited edition 2-disc set, recorded during the Collective’s four-night residency in October 2014 at the SFJAZZ Center, documents the SFJAZZ Collective’s fresh arrangements of the work of Joe Henderson—the late saxophone giant and longtime San Francisco resident who had a long association with SFJAZZ—as well as their own stimulating compositions.
