14세에 첫 턴테이블을 마련한 켄 메이어는 90년대 중반부터 테크노 디제이로 활동하기 시작했다. 켄은 그의 형이자 오랜 협력자인 칼(Karl)과 함께 Drop Bass, Black Nation 페스티벌 및 미국 중서부 전역의 다양한 파티에서 활동했으며, Surgeon, Anthony Shakir, BMG, John Roberts, James Ruskin, Spencer Kincy, Function과 같은 전설적인 아티스트들과 함께 수많은 언더그라운드 이벤트를 조직해 왔다. 그는 시카고의 전설적인 Gramaphone Records 소속으로 활동하며 WNUR, WHPK와 같은 시카고 방송국에서 매주 라디오 쇼를 진행했으며, 현재는 뉴욕 기반의 Standards & Practices 레이블을 공동 운영하고 있다. 또한, 켄은 레지스(Regis)가 운영하는 Downwards, 뉴욕 딥 앰비언트의 심장 Mysteries of the Deep 레이블을 통해 Ken Meier와 Obelus의 이름으로 꾸준히 자신의 음악을 발표하고 있으며, 2023년 8월에는 Standards & Practices 레이블을 통해 새로운 EP ‘Imitable Behaviors’를 발매하였다.

﻿Based in Prague, @yomomsmokescrack has been shaking up the Czech club scene with her fearless, genre-blurring selections as well as her DIY spirit. As a resident at lovely @ankali , she knows how to take a dancefloor on a deep, mental ride.

"This one starts off slow—real slow," she says. "I wanted to create a journey that takes its time, building layer by layer until it hits that deep, psychedelic techno zone. It’s a reminder that, just like in life, the best things don’t happen right away. If you’re patient, the payoff is worth it."

The Option B és  l'àlies darrere del qual s’amaga DJ Berru, qui ja va col·laborar amb nosaltres fa un any amb un set gravat en directe, reprèn la nostra sèrie de podcasts després d’una petita pausa.

The Option B és un projecte que havia estat relativament parat els darrers anys i que ara torna amb força, amb l’ànim intacte de compartir música des del cor. Aquest àlies neix com un homenatge sincer a l’escena Nitsa de finals dels 90 i principis dels 2000, amb les seleccions de Sideral com a guia espiritual.

El que fa Berru com a The Option B no és seguir modes, sinó emocions. El seu so recorre paisatges oblidats de l’acid, el house, l’electro, el jungle o el synthpop sense complexos ni fronteres, només amor incondicional per la música que l’ha definit.

Aquest set, tot i caracteritzar-se per una energia més clubber que altres entregues de The Option B, continua sent una excavació profunda: una recerca de sons amagats que encara el mouen, el sacsegen i li recorden d’on ve. És, en essència, una carta d’amor a la pista de ball, a les cares B invisibles, els himnes oblidats i a joies que desafien el temps.

Ens sentim molt orgullosos de poder compartir aquest moment amb ell.

At last year’s Opening Party at Unsound Kraków, DJ E (aka Chuquimamani-Condori) showcased their distinct hyper-charged sound. Narrowing it down to genres is pretty impossible, but there are fragments of Andean folk, cumbia and country music ballads, often carefully layered with a bunch of soundboard-effects. The result is a classic DJ E set. Many of the tracks played here were recently included in the almost 2-hour long collection Edits, which you can pick up on Chuquimamani-Condori’s Bandcamp page.

DJ Sodeyama’s murky alias The People in Fog is up next for a very special number. The DJ/producer has been active since the 90s, reshaping his home city, extensively touring the globe, releasing music, founding record labels (Arpa) and toying with different incarnations of his palette under a few different names. The People In Fog is one such project, founded a decade ago as license to lean into his more disco and house inclinations, a means of connecting with a lighter penchant for Chicago-style and Balearic rhythms. It’s a manifestation that’s given the world several first-rate releases like debut album A Ray of Light (2013), Album: 1977 (2021) and this year’s Too Much Knobs and Cables. His whistle-stop promo tour of Japan for that latest release has been whipping up plenty of shifting grooves and phase distortions, and delivering that fresh take on sound to IRL crowds in his native land. For the rest of us, the nine-tracker’s a perfect source for summer anthems: a fuzzy, analog patchwork of synths and low-end bass. Bassiani Podcast 273 takes all of this and turns up the heat, The People In Fog’s deep reverence for underground sounds is here for a two-hour mash up of grimy percussions and sensuous urban sounds. We Control the Ground

The first thing you notice in Beau Beaumont’s Delayed with mix isn’t aggression or volume, but control. Each layer slots into place with a clarity that leaves no room for drift. It’s techno in high resolution - grooves stretched to their limit, shifts measured with care, a ride that never collapses under its own weight.

That clarity comes from experience. Years spent running one of the UK’s most forward-thinking parties, building an independent label Meine Nacht, and diving into modular synthesis have sharpened Beau’s ear for pacing and design. Her work ranges from NTS residencies to commissions for Nike and the WDR Studio for Electronic Music. Still, it’s this same multidisciplinary edge that you hear here, surgical mixing, grooves that never stagnate, and a sense of movement that feels both human and machine. This is propulsion without fatigue: a set built to carry you, wherever you are.
