Absolutely love the creative musical direction that you sailed this tune out deep into. Super psychedelic, dreamy, and atmospheric moods that beckons the listener ever-further into the sound as the piece progresses !! Really original song writing, and with terrific vocal & instrumental performances all the way around.

This is a song about finding that girl who you know is your life partner.  Such a cool feeling if/when it happens.

My children seek blankets or cuddly toys to comfort them. When I seek comfort/familiarity or reassurance, music offers me warmth, either listening to, or recording.

Believe it or not:
DRAWBRIDGE was created at my home studio and referenced a hugely popular pop song called Driver's License by Olivia Rodrigo. The song sounds nothing like Driver's License but drew inspiration from this song's sound textures and arrangement. DRAWBRIDGE was crafted to deliver an emotional tension and buildup in a similar fashion.

Last month my friend Jeff/Stonerjazz sent me a preview of this song he was about to release (https://soundcloud.com/user-911083679/01-i-still), and he was so kind to ask me if I wanted to add anything to it. We had been planning a collaboration for months, so I happily started to work on it, recording a few instrumental tracks. I got inspired from Jeff's amazing lyrics and vocal harmonies, and we're both happy about the way this tune turned out to sound.
A wonderful collaboration that we'd like to dedicate to all of you SoundCloud maestros, wishing everyone a happy new year. Peace, love and happiness...

On Earth One, all of the music and lyrics are written by Dragonsail, aka Greg Hester. Likewise, all of the playing and vocal performances and recording and mixing are done by Dragonsail as well. But that's not as interesting as what's happening on Earth Two.

On Earth Two, these songs are created and performed by a scheming diva named Surrenda and her enthusiastic but clueless dog sidekick Bruce. Additional songwriting is provided by their septuagenarian feline keyboardist, Catatonia, and Onree - the sweet pup with the mean shaker. There's also some old geezers in the band who've been with Surrenda for a couple of decades who actually play real instruments, but they mostly loom in the shadows.

The range of styles in their music includes funk, psychedelia, hard rock, prog rock and disco, which they tear away at with whatever instruments and found objects they have stowed away with them aboard their ship, the Club Dragonsail.
