Such a cool blend of soul and funk! Also intriguing lyrics free of cliches that stimulates my imagination. Original and highly danceable stuff! Bulls eye music!

A completely original and captivating song that reaches deep into the creative bag of sonic tricks & treats. I absolutely love the sonic ingredients that you used for the construction of the drum sequences that allows the bass to really shine. And the electric guitar carries the lead vocal with such a great pacing and flow !!

In the novel "The Vanished Birds" by Simon Jimenez, the captain has to re-assert her authority after somebody deliberately and secretly breaks the flute from Macaw. She is righteously furious with her crew.

Let Me In (feat. Gustav Bjoerck)

This is my first song using only eurorack modular synth gear for all the sounds (except the beat, from a "toy" Yamaha PSS-50, & the guitar solo*).  It's also the first in decades with me doing "real" singing, haha, & whistling, wth?! ;)  It needed vocals so I made up some lyrics (below) which fit the creepy mood.  Don't worry, it's not autobiographical.

On Earth One, all of the music and lyrics are written by Dragonsail, aka Greg Hester. Likewise, all of the playing and vocal performances and recording and mixing are done by Dragonsail as well. But that's not as interesting as what's happening on Earth Two.

On Earth Two, these songs are created and performed by a scheming diva named Surrenda and her enthusiastic but clueless dog sidekick Bruce. Additional songwriting is provided by their septuagenarian feline keyboardist, Catatonia, and Onree - the sweet pup with the mean shaker. There's also some old geezers in the band who've been with Surrenda for a couple of decades who actually play real instruments, but they mostly loom in the shadows.

The range of styles in their music includes funk, psychedelia, hard rock, prog rock and disco, which they tear away at with whatever instruments and found objects they have stowed away with them aboard their ship, the Club Dragonsail.
