A spark still remains in my bones. 

As age increased, 
pictured in dramatic releif.
A statue that weeps,
with a wink and a turn of the cheek.

You carried on. 
In spite all the chords you got wrong.
For one final song.
No one is here for too long.

The main line.
The way through the forest at night time.
The secret that lasts a whole lifetime.
No darkness encroaching upon.
Let go of me.
Because everything can be just rosy.
The doldrums can be warm and cosy.
When you learn to be on your own. 

Alcohol. 
A saccharine plaster that falls,
off all too soon.
A madman that howls at the moon.
A beaten soul,
A pocket of nonsense to hold.
Like a shining stone,
All pathways that lead your to home.

Depression 
Perhaps this can be a good lesson,
to not notice what you've been missing,
to separate mind from the soul. 
You'll never get,
without at least getting your feet wet.
At least you're not quite bloody there yet.
You don't even know what is wrong.
