Introducing Slamboree to the Rat Records family! A live band with a smörgåsbord of circus performers, daredevils and entertainers. Taking each show as it comes, assembling a different crew from their collective for each show and every gig is very different to the last.

Musically they fuse bass-driven beats with live orchestra, guitars, percussion, loops, visuals, brass, pyrotechnics and circus.

The genres bounce around breakbeat, dubstep, drum & bass, dub, techno and electro fused with balkan, folk, and 'gypsy' flavours... All original and all live. This all translates in the studio to an incredibly fun, quirky first release on Rat Records, entitled "Cheeky Peppers".

Rat's head honcho, Deekline, applies his midas touch and turns it into gold in a way that only he can! Given unique elements to work with, he manages to integrate them into something a little left of centre for him, yet somehow still distinctly Deekline.

"With a clap of thunder and a flash of something hairy, the doors to the pub exploded. As the smoke cleared it left Father Funk stood silhouetted in the doorway. Then he started chopping our arms off with his bloody light sabre. Turns out the good Father was just trying out for the next Star Wars movie, he's so Super pippin' hot right now that we're not ruling it out. It's true that having no arms will mean we'll have to resign from the darts team, but seeing The Father sexoring up Princess Leia on the telly will ease any resentful feelings we may harbour towards the scamp! 

And hell! He apparently does have the death sentence on 12 systems, so we were lucky it was just the arms!

Kotch, one of the Junkies, gained massive attention last year with his Buccovina glitch-hop styled remix that was played by every DJ in the scene. Label boss for Skanky Panky Records, William Breakspear, whose known for his K-Lab remixes and collaborations with Ashley Slater, shows us his interpretation of "This is How We Rollin''.  And Funk Ferret, from world of Ghetto Funk, took "Big Up Booty" and transformed it from a deep bass rocker to a funky breaks monster.
