This was recorded live at Boomtown Fair near Winchester with 30,000 in attendance at the whole festival - We were asked to play an Acid House and Old Skool set on the Arcadia Spider which has been a favourite of mine for a few years now having played the same stage at Glastonbury in 2011 and Bestival 2011/2.

Saw this poem on the Tube in London (part of the Poems on The Underground program) and couldn't get it out my head for about a year, so I've finally got it out my head and into a piece of music. I've edited it a bit to fit my purposes.

NB. I have no intention on infringing the rights of the poet, only been inspired by some incredible writing. If I get a release, I would ensure that the rights are legally secured and paid for.

About 12 years ago I was wandering around the suburbs of Hiroshima, alone on a very hot, very humid summer day.  I saw a temple on a hill and wanted to climb up to see it but I couldn't find a path or road to get up there.  I decided to climb up the hill through the bamboo forest, trail or not.  The hill was very steep and slippery with leaves.  I never made it to the top.  For whatever reason I still remember this experience vividly.

I used my modular synthesizer to recreate the sounds of the forest, layering a variety of patches.  All of the sounds you hear are from the synthesizer (even the sound of traffic in the distance was made using white noise and a lowpass filter), no other recordings have been used.

Well Ashland OR is in hazardous air conditions due to raging fires North of here, so what to do but stay indoors and make an Easel Track - hope you like it 

Its a Buchla Easel with a simple patch, its output is parallelled into the iOS granular synth iPulsaret, to add some interest i.e. it is granularizing the Easel Output in real time...they both get the same MIDI sequence..while I dork with the EG and pulser times..btw there is no drum machine in this and it is single tracked. Hope you like it.

When it comes to acid & electro, it's a sure shot to bet on dutch 030303 imprint for exquisite quality. Their next 2XLP compilation is no exception. Ranging from regular artists of the label (Rolando Simmons or Global Goon) they display a vast array of newcomers on this one. Hailing from Brunnen in the center of Switzerland are the Echo 106 brothers. Known by the freaks for their excellent past releases on Jamal Moss "Mathematics" or Zurich based "Lux Rec" label, its their first offering for 030303 and not a filler but a killer !
