This mix isn’t just a selection—it’s a story told through BPM and bassweight. Seamlessly navigating the liquid and tech genres of drum & bass, this set kicks off with lush atmospheric textures that wash over the senses, setting the stage for a deep dive into soul-soaked liquid grooves.

As the journey unfolds, the energy subtly shifts as liquid rhythms morph into shadowy minimal tech steppers, drawing the listener into a stripped-back, hypnotic state. From there, the mix tightens its grip, fusing warm, melodic elements with chest-rattling basslines in a unique collision of emotion and pressure.

Just when you think you’ve found your footing, the vibe shifts again, descending into deeper, tech-driven terrain before resurfacing with jazz-infused flourishes that snap reality back into view. The final stretch plays with tension and release, weaving between deeper tech aggression, liquid emotion and more forward, dancefloor-ready tones.

Decoded Magazine Mix Of The Month November Submission - Queervoyant

My competition entry is dedicated to my dear, late cousin, Pietro Gandolfo, who was taken from us in a tragic accident aged just 39. Pietro LOVED techno. He was a DJ too, and gave me my first exposure to turntables when I was 15 in his home country of Sicily. 

The journey features my complimentary vocals sung over three tracks, whilst live in the mix, in Italian. I speak to Pietro on behalf of myself, our family, and his friends, wishing him peace, and letting him know we'll be there to rave with him soon.

Recording this mix, whilst holding back tears, was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Whenever I play this mix I know Pietro is listening. I hope you enjoy it.
