Biotwang. What is that eerie sound emanating from the deepest parts of the ocean? Is it a whale searching for its lover? Or a cry for help from a mysterious entity?
The Flip Field collective has taken a deep dive into the Mariana Trench to analyze this strangely alluring 5-second recording. The results are as eclectic as the collective itself: from slowly-evolving ambient ballads to head-banging beats.

The theme of the show was the golden record from the Voyager program: a collection of sounds representative of life on earth that scientists strapped to a spacecraft in 1977 and launched on a one-way mission to god knows where. These sounds are scattered throughout the set. Footsteps, wind, a baby crying, and so on.  Currently drifting towards the outer confines of the solar system, the hope is that one day this spacecraft and record is recovered - either by us, or by aliens.

The set features 40 minutes of original music/remixes. Genres range from Ambient to House and a lot in between. Performed at Cross Club in Prague, Czechia on March 19th, 2024.
