Interior Groove traveler, and recent resident of Canada’s “Left Coast”, Unknown Mobile has honoured us the privilege to issue his first 12-inch record. The three cuts hike through rolling levels of melodic foley and pensive oral snippets, laid over tough low-end and resonant harmonies. Percussion is sparse yet carefully woven around patterns that wash in & out. While “No Motion” and “Rhododendron” induce a state of calming limbo, “Mantra” offers a celebration of dance.

The sun is gleaming down in happy land as the bunny rabbits glide through luscious greenery, the birds sing and the rivers flow. Work isn’t a thing, no one works in Taylan’s Shangri-La, yet in reality you do work, quite a lot, and the unwelcome, intervening acid stabs at 1:45 are a grim reminder of that.

Featuring Ray's classic drum machine sound, THAT Juno house bass sound filters in and you'd be forgiven to think you've heard this kinda track many times before. But its Ray's spacey pads and vocal snippet that sets this above and beyond. Perfectly refined and all the amounts of fun required. On repeat!

Titled “Foundations”, the Bloomington residing artist moves his brand of house vibes across 5 new tracks, with an affinity for soulful and atmospheric undercurrents (in addition to more idiosyncratic, exploratory aural realms). Orbiting close to the notable lo-impact house influences of his contemporaries, Foundations reflects an omnivorous appetite for style and genre, ever-aiming to bridge the void between old and nu-school. There is an emotional maximalism at the centre of the collection, from the slow crunch of “By Moonlight” to the Baby Jesus transit ramble on title track “Foundations”, on the gentle nudge of “Body Language” and none more noticeable than on “I Just Wanna Dance (VIP)” closing the lid on this set of vintage, bruising house music.

Germany’s Peter Grummich has been releasing his twist on House and Techno over the past two decades via the likes of Shitkatapult, Kompakt, Spectral Sound, Mule Musiq and of course his very own Innerbird. Here though we see Peter deliver his latest works via Bengoa’s fledgling B2 Recordings, which sees him experimenting with some outboard classics like the classic Casio RZ-1 drum machine and the Roland JX8P synthesizer to create a raw, old school feel.
