Kuhn (MX) started DJing at parties that he organized with promoters of the underground scene in Mexico City. His passion for music got him involved in the music industry when he was 15. He focused on preparing himself technically to define his style, along with the musical knowledge that he brought from a very early age. His style of music is based on deep sounds mixed with house, organic, and techno.

Kuhn has shared the stage in clubs and festivals of massive relevance in Mexico with artists like: Röyksopp, Hernan Cattaneo, Wolf & Lamb, Rampue, Adana Twins, Monolink, Robert Babicz, Tiger & Woods, Matthias Meyer, Armen Miran, Crussen, Doctor Dru, Kora, Kalipo, Oliver $, Daniel Steinberg, Carlo Lio.

Ask yourself: can you describe what your morning will be like tomorrow? Not just the part when you, say, wake up, brush your teeth and go about your business. That’s not really describing, that’s just listing or rather predicting your morning routine. Just try to describe your morning: what will you first silhouette in the darkness? How will the sun show up and in what colors will the clouds be lit up that day? Which parts will receive the first rays of the new rising sun and how will your body start to feel the warmth? When will the curtains let in natural light and start moving slowly themselves? Describing something you have yet to see is a bit hard, obviously, but @Powel has somehow managed to do that. His podcast is about all the mornings we have lived and all those we are yet to live. All of them. Without exception.

P.S. Cyberiada [sɪber’jada] is the name of a series of satirical-philosophical stories by Polish author Stanislaw Lem. The word "Cyberiadа" - which is the name of a woman - is mentioned in the entire series only once.

How hard is it to find a jumbo jet in the middle of the desert? Apparently, very hard indeed. It literally took us an hour of bicycling around deep playa until we spied a colour changing LED in the distance. Having investigated all the illumination in close proximity, we set out until it resolved into the most beautiful fuselage we have ever seen. The long journey had come to an end and after locking our bikes we ascended the jetway mere minutes before our set was scheduled to begin. 

A quick soundcheck later, the laser show died down and we played our first track. Perched high atop the plane we could see individual dancers moving about like ants far below us, and the upper deck filled with friends new and old. In the middle of our set a swarm of drones took to the skies behind us for a light spectacle that we missed completely, no one told us there were beautiful machines swooping through the air behind us, and we kept our eyes on the equipment and the dance floor far below us. 

Still, it was an absolute pleasure to play on the latest iteration of the plane, and we are always impressed by the sheer scale of this aviation achievement. We hope you enjoy our music, we certainly enjoyed playing it. Fly safe out there :)

Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

On this week's edition, we welcome @djjenner

Jenner started her musical journey in 2002 when she discovered an after hours club in Berlin, Germany with fellow backpackers. It was at this moment that she began her love affair with underground electronic music.  Upon her return to Toronto, she began to regularly attend Toronto’s night clubs and after hours that has hosted many of today’s biggest DJ’s in the scene.  In 2008 Jenner bought her first set of CDjs and mixer, and began honing her skills as a DJ.  Since that time her sound has evolved and her passion as she’s currently focusing on her studio skills and working on her first productions, which she plans to release this summer 2019.

Jenner has played many Toronto clubs and events, including Coda, Oneloft, Summerdaze/Bespoke Experience and Promise Cherry Beach.  She has recently played internationally in Tulum, Mexico and at the Vujaday Musical Festival in Barbados and at the Tomorrow Today Festival in Jamaica.  Her most memorable events include her debut on the Mayan Warrior at Burning Man, Camp Summerdaze, Harvest Music Festival and Bucko, Tulum.  

Jenner is known for her deep infectious ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, hypnotic melodies, and perfectly selected vocals to captivate her audience further. Deeper. Darker. There is an excitement on the dance floor that’s palpable when Jenner gets on the decks. Close your eyes and feel the energy through the music.
