This is the first composition of Dreamscape - Chapter One: "Origins". All parts of this composition are made by MLC Vanamsterdam, Radu Sover, Pablo Garcia-Hernandez, Sada Exposada and Sam Nelson.

It all started the 27th of november 2020 on the Facebook page of the Voltage Modular User Group with this message: "I was wondering: does anyone feel like participating in a project solely based on voltage modular? What I would like to achieve is: "One hour of music - not individual tracks: an experience - made by various musicians all over the world in different styles/genres using only their unique patches designed in Voltage Modular".

The guidlines for contributions were: BPM: 128, Scale: C-HARMONIC MINOR SCALE (C = Root | C D D# F G G# B)and Genre: No-limitations.

We didn't make the hour unfortunately, but 14 minutes. People already said this piece feels like a journey - I have had a lot of fun making this and i would like to thank every one who worked on this project and made this possible.

I hope in future we will create more chapters for Dreamscape.

Dreamscape - Chapter One: "Origins"

Hi there,
my name is Andy Franke and I like to introduce you to me and my Sonic Lighthouse project here. I'm born in December 1965 in a little town called Schleswig, in the very north of Germany. Since I was a little kid, I loved music, hearing and making. The most of the time I played bass-guitar in several Rock- and Pop-Bands (Châlice, Lost in SOHO, Helene Nissen & Band) and I always loved to be part of a pack. Unfortunately, I have been in depression always in my life, sometimes more and sometimes less, so it isn't easy for me to always give 100% to my band-mates in many times. 
Because of these circumstances, sometime ago, I decided to make some kind of different music on my own. Music that I loved as much, as the kind of "handmade" music, that I have done before: Electronic music. So this is, what Sonic Lighthouse is all about.
Because of the technical progression in the last years, there are so much possibilities to build my own music in my little home-studio now. This helps me a lot with my disorder and makes me go on day by day. So my little sound-paintings come from the innermost part of me and I never know what's coming out next. It's always a surprise for me and I like to share this with you.

Ignite Sessions DJ Residences:

The ‘Ignite Sessions’ brand was formerly known as 'Ignite Dance Sessions', shorten for easy reference & promotion etc.

DJ Magnus aka Magnus Johanson is a well experienced and international DJ, radio host/DJ and producer originally from Brighton with years of experiences in the London music scene. He has previously worked within the music industry for major/independent label/publishing companies. Currently, he has a radio show, ‘Ignite Sessions’ at Power FM based (Dublin, Ireland) for international audience. In addition, he has performed for other international radio stations and venues in both Europe and USA.

Munich based since 2013, where he relocated to further establish himself as one of the top Producers/DJs within the growing Munich’s music/club scenes and beyond in both Europe and USA. He also further established himself by being part of Dreschwerk Kollektiv, a video mapping/visuals and sound mixing/DJ/audio production group.

His musicianship is even more amazing when you soon realise that he was born with congenital deafness in both ears from birth, due to rubella caught by his pregnant mother. To defy the odds, he DJs only with his best right ear after having honed his DJ skills to become a top pro DJ that he is today. No-one notices this due to his DJ skills! Nowadays, he focuses on developing and furthering his production skills and sound to compliment along with his DJ career.

He continues to further his international DJ profile and career by developing his DJ skills and sounds by focusing his unique blend of Industrial Raw Acid Techno, Breaks and Electro. He also has an ear to play other subgenres e.g. Melodic House & Techno, House, Deep House, Tech House, Hard House etc depending on the show/event.

Dreamscape is a music project solely based on the modular software synthesizer made by Cherry Audio: Voltage Modular, hence the addition to the name: vmmp = voltage modular music  project. The project is initiated in november 2020 by MLC Vanamsterdam through the voltage-modular-users group on facebook.
