Falling Leaves On The Doorstep Of Winter

“Offworld” is the new EP from Portland-based DJ, producer, radio host and beat scene Guru Saltfeend. The project was created over an extended period of time, and the resulting music (created in various studio experiences all very different from one another) reflects that. For instance, Deer Creek was produced after a camping experience deep in the Washington State woods. After a night hike where he witnessed the majestic forest illuminated by the full moon light, he channeled the magical experience into his music. Further into the EP, “Full Tano” was named after a beachside retreat where he took all his studio equipment to a rented flat by the sea to make beats with a friend over a weekend. The track was the polished result of the experience, and was named after the pizza delivery that fueled the weekend. Each song on the EP was created in a different context, making the experience of the EP bold, otherworldly, and adventurous.
