Spiral Tribe’s own 69db presents his Wave Arising LIVE set.
As a founding member of Spiral Tribe and R-Zac, and co-founder of Network 23 Recordings, 69db has been a driving force in the Hardtec and Tribe scenes since the early ’90s. His improvised live sets have pushed boundaries for over three decades.
Wave Arising, blending tribal techno with dub elements, was recently hailed by Resident Advisor as a standout performance at Dekmantel 2024.
This mix comes out of his work for the Wave Arising project he shares with dancer Kynsie. The project is aimed at returning focus to improvisation , music and movement as the main focus of our personal development in life. 

The mix is 100% improvised on the liveset and is about tuning in to our deeper selves and opening a channel within.

H2O is a composer, live artist and DJ. She is the curator and co-founder of Air Ambient, a free annual event dedicated to ambient music. 
During her improvised live performances, she explores a music of contrasts and sensitivity. Her influences include the frenetic layers of ambient, the deconstructed rhythms of break and the hypnotic progressions of techno.

Haruka x Craig Gonzalez opened the Dance Room at I.T. presents The Bunker, May 26, 2025, Day 3 of Return to the Source, at Tangent, Detroit.

It's one thing to hop on the decks with someone during peak time at a party in a packed room like the first time Haruka and I played together in NYC but it's another to open a party during the last leg of RTTS weekend. So we started talking about the set a couple of months beforehand, but nothing really prepares you until you're in the middle of RTTS weekend itself. We were texting and chatting about the setup and direction throughout the weekend and eventually landed on keeping things a little funky and fun.  Playing with someone with a similar approach to DJing and also range really made the set feel so effortless for me and I feel that cohesion and the fun we had translated quite well to those that were in attendance.

We were both booked to play a Bunker party that night and with an hour left before our room was about to shut down, I asked Craig to jump on for an unplanned B2B.  Craig had already set the room up with a deep, super-diverse selection and then vibe in our room was so good, I will never forgot it. So when IT asked us to do it again we got hyped.

RTTS, Detroit
Our slot opened the last day of the three-day marathon, and other parties were running in the daytime too, so it felt like one long 72-hour session. Craig also played Movement. It was my first time in Detroit, so I wandered around, popped into a bunch of events, but spent every night back at Tangent Gallery with Craig—talking, listening to other artists, and getting a real feel for the room. That helped us lock in the vibe and refine the ideas we’d been tossing around for months.

The set
Two words kept coming up: funky and fun (maybe sexy too). I played only a few recent tracks but most were older finds with some electro slipped in naturally. In hindsight the whole thing was a back-and-forth between electro and deep, psychedelic techno, with extra flavours layered on top.

Thanks for the listens.  The more a certain syle of mix gets listened to it inspires me to make new ones in that style.

However my main obsessive focus lies mainly into old school electro and underground futuristic new school electro (Morphology, ERP, Versalife, Kan3da, Plant 43, 214, Analogical Force, CPU, AS1, Umwelt, AC records, Microlith, Armec, Sound Synthesis, Biochip, Illektrolab , Info, Lake Haze and many more), underground acid house (JTC - The Dancing Box and Creep Acid, 808 State Newbuild are some of my favorites), razor blade edits, Moog records, perverted comedy records, Bleeps and Breaks, 90-92 Hardcore techno and early rave tracks, smooth and sleek Detroit Style techno, electronic sound effect and obscure spoken word records and electronic listening music from the beginning to now..

As has been said by many others before, "There are 2 types of music, good music and bad music".

I have about 100 of my own tracks to finish, some are already done, some just need some fine tuning. I am going to use this channel mainly for Dj Mixes with a few of my own tracks on here as well.  Eventually they will get on my BandCamp, or even better, hopefully I will get something released on vinyl.
