Good news! The 92nd episode of Pacific Spirit has landed gracefully on the World Wide Web. It's a winding and eurphoric session from Austin, Texas' @c-thru2, who released an incredible LP with us last year titled "The Otherworld". The recording includes some live excerpts from C-thru's live performance at Public Records earlier this year. The freshly pressed vinyl version of "The Otherworld" is available now at the finer record shops across the globe.

Track one down and sink into a modern classic described as "Charmingly fluffy-minded Balearic ambient downbeats and breaks" by the tastemakers over at Boomkat.

The Void April 2025

This live set includes several works-in-progress being tested on the floor for the first time. I have added comments to mark where those land in the mix. This opening set was recorded live at Reliable Street in Ames, Iowa.  It starts out with an ambient track off my recent album and builds into deep/soulful/jazz house with a little afro house thrown in.   Hope you enjoy! as always Much Love and much peace!

As August begins, summer's golden days are still here, full of promise and hope. As we move into the peaceful months ahead, we're excited to welcome the talented Spanish artist Pablo Bolivar to our 320th episode in the series.

“A modern master of house and techno, Seven Villas founder Pablo Bolivar is know equally well as an album artist and prolific remixer, but perhaps foremost as a world class DJ. With artistic breadth and worldwide appeal, it is clear that Pablo was born to create music, always with an attitude, and always with quality as a standard.”
Boasting more than a decade of experience releasing music, Pablo Bolívar is a name familiar to most in the underground circuit of Dance music. Born in Santander, Spain, in 1981, he took his first steps into the music business by studying Sound Engineering at Barcelona’s Crash institute, then working as an engineer for a number of years following his graduation in 2000.
After a while, Pablo began working at one of Spain’s most recognised Electronic imprints, Decoder Muzique. Following this, in 2006 he released his debut LP via Barcelona label Regular, entitled ‘Anjanas’. The 11-track album showcased his melodic, hypnotic and intriguing style of Techno that has over the years become synonymous with his name, panning between ambient sections and tougher, more club-driven moments with a real maturity and understanding of music that only comes from studying the art at its core.
In 2009, Pablo released his critically acclaimed and personal favourite LP, ‘Recall’, also via Regular. The album saw him once again nod to past influences such as Heiko Laux and his Kanzleramt label as well as other German imprints such as Chain Reaction, but also was deeply inspired by the passing of his father.
Since then, the Spaniard has gone from strength to strength, with further releases on Curle Recordings, as well as on Desolat, Culprit, Einmusika, Moodmusic, Endless as well as via his own labels, Seven Villas and Avantroots, also remixing the likes of Gui Boratto, Mario Basanov, When Saints Go Machine, Gorge, Parov Stelar or Juana Molina to name a few.
Outside of music production, the gifted Spaniard has built up a reputation for his meticulously crafted DJ performances, combining his own mesmerising Techno cuts with records unearthed from his regular excursions crate digging as well as from other artists such as Floating Points, Soulphiction, I:Cube and Vakula – modern names that he is a big personal fan of.

Reworked drums and bassline of a song by Kim Yaffa. Also added a plucked electric guitar and synth for texture. When I make these edits/reworks it is always the song that chooses me. First time I heard the original version it just spoke to me.

Malvo is a Kaunas-based DJ focused on deep, texturally rich, and rhythmically diverse electronic music. He began in 2012 at Vilnius University radio with Dėžė Dėžutėj, a show exploring unconventional sounds and interviewing local DJs. An active contributor to the Lithuanian underground, he’s been involved with HAARP, Ghia, and Hydra — collectives curating experimental, genre-defying club events. His sets feature immersive atmospheres, layered percussion, and a precise yet intuitive approach to sonic storytelling.

Sam Goku is a young DJ and Producer based in Munich, who has joined forces with a handful of like-minded artists to create Oleeva Records. Constructed in Los Angeles back in 2015, Oleeva Record’s main focus is to present authentic electronic music to its audience with high-quality releases alongside paralleled artwork. 

We have been given the privilege of featuring the latest full remix of Rudy’s Qualia EP, composed by Sam Goku. His fine-tuned and minimalistic approach provides a great deal of depth between transitions and allows for more emphasis to be placed on the original bassline. PREMIERE: Rudy - Qualia (Sam Goku Remix) [Oleeva Records]

Drift Loess is a project of Austin Stewart a new media artist, producer, and DJ.

The term Drift Loess describes hills comprised of the wind blown remains of landscapes pulverized by the rhythm of advancing and receding glaciers–geologic agents of transformative change. Taking this name is a reference to my understanding of music and dance as agents of transformational change in the mind/body and an understanding that we can only be grounded when we dance in and with the present moment.

The music I produce flows from ambient to dance genres like deep house, downtempo, and dub techno interweaving field recordings, digital synthesis, and samples.  My DJ sets span genres like ambient, RnB, downtempo, various flavors of house, and dub techno.
