Innerchilld is a musical journey from inner peace to awakening.
It begins in a gentle ambient atmosphere, slowly unfolding into a cinematic symphonic space where light and emotion intertwine. A rising energy bridge leads into a vivid synthwave world, where a guitar-like lead synth carries the main melody — nostalgic, yet futuristic.

The sound then melts into a chillstep flow, blending 90s-style trancegate textures with an oriental female vocal — a meeting point between past and future, dream and presence. The piece finally returns to a rhythm-less symphonic landscape, a soft descent into stillness where only the moment remains.

To the trademark shifting layers of aural light and shadow, composer/multi-instrumentalist Derrick Stembridge had added driving, motive rhythms that provide a new edge that you’ll be hard-pressed not to dance to. Voices, processed and pumped through vocoders, achieve new prominence. Complex, industrial-strength (but never pedestrian) percussion keeps everything moving, while lyrical keyboard lines weave through and tie everything together.
