Tritonal release the massive second chapter in their spellbinding 3 part Metamorphic EP series. After the first part of the trilogy dropped back in May, Chad and Dave have been marauding around North America unleashing their electrifying live sets to swathes of frenzied Tritonians and NOW they can unleash 'Metamorphic II', the full EP.

In this release the Texas based production/DJ duo have really captured the essence of when they're up on stage and behind the decks, injecting that unwavering energy into their studio sessions to awesome effect. Multi-talented as they are, the guys display their versatility and musicality throughout the whole series and one facet of Tritonal is the ability to throw one hell of a party whenever required. "Man Of The Moment" is a term often used, but we feel there is absolutely no other way of describing the young Russian right now. Since his remix of Ferry Tayle & Static Blue's Trapeze and Tritonal's Utopia, Arty has been the producer everyone wants, and subsequent remixes for the likes of the scenes biggest names, Above & Beyond, Kyau & Albert and Paul van Dyk, and his Beatport No. 1 remix of D-Mad on Enhanced Progressive has cemented his position at the top of the newcomers from the past year. Back on Enhanced Progressive with another brilliant Original, Arty turns out two versions of Twilight Tonight. The Original Mix falls in a similar vein to that of his last two EP's on Enhanced, whilst the Arty Remode vamps up the atmosphere with Arty's trademark power chords with rich pads and synths sending the emotion into orbit. Remixes come from two of Enhanced Prog's favourites, MoodFreak and D-Mad. MoodFreak makes a welcome return after a lengthy hiatus, and he doesn't disappoint as he pushes the track towards the progressive house pigeonhole with his sparkly synths and groovy bottom end. D-Mad rips up the rulebook and goes for an entirely fresh approach from his usual style, combining stabby synths and bleepy melodies with the wonkiest bassline we've heard in a while! X Dream should be probably my favourite Goa Trance or Psychedelic Trance or you name it Trance band. In my opinion they created truly timeless music that is completely their own, and this 'X Dream' sound, inspired so many artists, your humble servant is one of them. So I took the liberty to fiddle around with one of their finest and most gentle creations, I changed very little and used the original sounds whenever I had the chance. The only main difference is in the main break of the track.

This month's special Soundcloud upload is "Gouryella" with "Ligaya".

I started up the "Gouryella" project back in 1999, together with Tiësto. "Ligaya" is the 4th track that was released as "Gouryella". The first 3 Gouryella tracks ("Gouryella", "Walhalla" and "Tenshi") are all done by Tiësto and myself. But for "Ligaya" I worked together with Dutch composer / songwriter John Ewbank. In the beginning of the 2002 John and myself started to work on the track. For the title of the track I picked the world "Ligaya", which means "Happiness" in Tagalog (Because my wife is from the Philippines'. The vocal version of "Ligaya" contains vocals done by Dutch singer Patty Gaddum.
 
Next month you can all pick another production / remix of myself and I will upload the most requested one to Soundcloud then.

In the year 1936 Samuel Barber composed a beautiful classic piece of music, which got the name "Adagio For Strings".  A composition that was used a lot, such as in famous movies like “Platoon”. In 1995 UK based producer William Orbit started to work on an album with synthesizer interpretations of some classical pieces. In 1999 Ferry Corsten was asked to make a remix of William’s version of “Adagio For Strings”. Ferry’s remix got released late 1999 and an edit of Ferry’s version, was even used as the radio / video version.

Ferry’s remix won a "Dancestar Award" in 2000 for best remix of the year of 1999.
