'Holding On' provides an emotional, orchestral climax to the Freedom Album. This self-proclaimed 'piece of his heart' ends the album ambiguously, with the idea of 'holding on' often being associated with weakness. Despite this, Drinks claims he views 'Holding On' as an optimistic and triumphant piece, and the fact that he's still 'holding on' to life is a sign of strength to keep going in the face of adversity.

Never Enough features a level of intricate musicality, provided by multi-instrumentalist Hans Glader, that hasn't previously been heard in the EP so far and sets the tone for experimenting in a newfound world of Freedom. With references to the first and second EPs in the trilogy, Compliance and Rebellion, the track can be divided into 3 equal parts. The first third creates an overall hellish landscape, reminiscent of Compliance, a world where you're bound to other people's ideas and desires. Not long after, you're swiftly transported away into a rebellious breakdown, ascending from the chokehold the first third has a listener in. A euphoric synth solo and Hans' recorded analog drums pulls you out and throws you into the final third, a floating feeling that represents a new world of freedom and escape, and leaves you with a feeling of transcendence and levitation.

Grateful is a heart-wrenching reminiscence of a particularly dark experience. Drinks On Me carefully delivers a message of personal violation, with voice recordings embedded within the second verse of the aftermath one of the nights. Grateful was produced as a freeing of deep-lying emotion after an encounter with his therapist forced him to reconsider how he classifies and thinks about the experiences. The sad tone of the themes and vocals is contrasted with a euphoric and triumphant backing track, which represents coming to terms with the experience and the liberation of the feeling to be understood.

Freedom invites you into an ethereal world of vulnerable and heartfelt music. Throughout the EP, the idea of catharsis and escape are central to the narrative, and what better way than a slow-building orchestral piece, that coerces you into the dreamy landscape and commences a journey to freedom.

Rounding off the album, we revisit the second track 'Free Together' with Katie Bosworth, except this time, there is a shift in focus from lush vocals and an ambient soundscape, and instead you're propelled into the darker, club-orientated Variation In Production version. This sets the tone for what Drinks On Me wishes to build upon in 2024. The cyclical nature of the album, which closes off as it begins, is representative of the tying-of-ends that Freedom provides to the album trilogy. A fresh start awaits Drinks in 2024.
