Cords was a noise rock band from the Netherlands. Originally formed as the Flintstones in '89, renamed to Chords in '90, and after a threatening lawsuit became Cords in '92 whilst recording their debut album for TVT Records in NYC. Being invited by John Peel for 2 sessions, touring the USA (with Low Pop Suicide), Europe (with the Gun Club) and Australia, playing at big festivals such as Roskilde, Sziget, Lowlands, SXSW, Dynamo Open Air and many others, many radio and TV-appearances, ending the roller-coaster ride in '99 playing in front of a serious classical orchestra. 
They have done a one-off comeback tour in 2010, accompanied by the release of 'Collage' , a highly collectable cd/dvd box-set .

De zinderende alternative rockband Drive By Wire met charismatisch boegbeeld Simone Holsbeek (zang/gitaar), Alwin Wubben (gitaar), Jerôme Miedendorp de Bie (Drums) en Marcel Zerb (bas) is terug met een beest van een album; getiteld “The Whole Shebang”. De totstandkoming van dit 3e studio album ging niet zonder slag of stoot. Een druk tourschema door Europa (met o.a. Mudhoney en Kyuss Lives!), en een lang opname proces het heeft het nog meerdere sessies in verschillende studio’s gekost voordat de juiste sfeer, het magische moment op “tape” werd gepakt, geen perfectie maar de essentie, waar de band compleet één is met de muziek.
 
Een trip door het stoffige desolate woenstijnlandschap, de zompige rivierdelta, thuishonk van de band. 70’s psychedelicam maar daarnaast ook zwaardere thema’s geïnspireerd door verlies van geliefden, de rauwe werkelijkheid van het leven en worsteling met persoonlijke demonen. Drive By Wire weet deze inspiratiebronnen te destilleren tot een waanzinnige organische sound met de urgentie en puntigheid van 90’s grunge (Soundgarden, Alice in Chains), de sensualiteit van een P.J. Harvey en de heerlijk heavy psychedelische fuzzgrooves van 70’s bands zoals Black Sabbath. Laat je meevoeren door Drive By Wire, de band die bekend staat om de enorme energie, podiumpresence en grootse sound.
