Arcane 39 are a ‘New Wave / Alternative Rock band’ rock band from Middlesbrough that formed in 2012 after Emma decided to leave a previous band and start up her own. Still led by the fearless punk Boudica Emma Taylor, who whacks the bass and sings from the heart putting her own uniqueness and energy into every song. 

The band wear their varied influences on their sleeves creating a tightness only to be found with bands used to gigging on a regular basis. Emma writes songs based on her life experiences which are straight to the point, cheeky, quirky, definitely no slushy love songs, and made with a true DIY ethic.

The Peabodys is a Country Americana band with influences from a range of genres of music, you may find us adding Bluegrass, Western Swing or even a little bit of the Blues. The band formed in 2016 and members have since left and more koined. The magical element to the Peabodys is we can perform as a two to Seven piece depending on our availability and the space provided. Overall we are a group of likeminded individuals, quirky, random and all ages but we love to play perform and make a pretty amazing sound together, see what you think.  The Peabodys are;

The roots of Suburban Acid Saturation lie in the hazy Megadog days of the mid/late 90s when Christian Bodden discovered techno for the first time. 

He very quickly acquired a couple of toys, starting with just a Roland MC-303, and Akai S20 Sampler and a Zoom 1201 Multi-effects an laying down sequenced tracks to Minidisc as a short lives Progressive House/Trance project entitled Feast of Fools.

At the same time while working night shifts in a hostel he started building up a large archive of original loops, riffs and textures using primitive software synthesizers on the office computer.

Building up more hardware he hit the stage in 2001, in a little self promoted night called In The K-Hole which saw local club The Phono decked out entirely in red cloth. Over the next 8 years or so he played a number of gigs with this hardware setup in an Acid Techno mashup style. 

While this was going on, in the spring of 2000 he set up a Digital Audio Workstation and, following a series of demos the Progressive Hard Dance Album 'Simulacra' was produced using much of the early loop material over the next few years, along with some side projects - the ambient album 'Eschaton' and the ethnotek side project 'Saddhu's Chillum'

Work on a second Album started with a more down to earth party techno style.

Working full time, studying for a degree slowed things down and in 2011 various house moves and the arrival of a Son put a stop to anything much for a while.

In 2014 he started to rebuild his studio and while keeping the impressive array of hardware moved sequencing and mixing entirely into the box investing in a multichannel audio interface to bring all the hardware together.

He is currently in the process of turning the old recorded version in to live versions from the old audio and midi material, and building up recorded versions of the live material from the hardware.

Influences are as varied as the sound. The greats of the London Acid Techno Scene - The Liberators, Dave The Drummer, Kris Needs and so on - spar with 90s Hard Dance of K90 and Lab4. Metal and Industrial from Senser to Subsource, Nine Inch Nails, Celldweller and The Ministry sits on top of the classics of the 90s - Eat Static, Empyrion, The Secret, The Delta, Holy Ghost, Nuw Idol and FSOL.

All of these influences and all of the previous incarnations have finally come together. Blending Hard Dance with smatterings of Breakbeat, Dubstep, Schranz, Psy and Thrash metal guitars over a solid backbone of screaming Acid Techno, Suburban Acid is a riot of high energy highpowered beats and synths, keeping the raw power of hardware with the precision of developed modern technology and production values.
