I met her last year on the grounds of a well known festival and we've had kind of a penpalship ever since. But she’s not only a kind and open-hearted person, she is also fantastic behind the decks
and enriched many events all over the globe with the distinct style of her dj-sets.

Hey friends,
I'm back with another episode - this time it is mixed by TakaTukka.
Lean back and enjoy, this extra slow ride..

For years drifting on electronic music festivals, @TAkATukkA started to collect and mix music in 2017. The favourite sound crystallized around deep and melodic tunes being produced or pitched to comfortable 100 - 110 bpm, sometimes even below. Due to lack of pleasant electronic venues in Sbg, he co-founded the downtempo collective @LauterKlabauter. The idea is to promote  SlowRave in an otherwise fast-paced music scene, to connect people with stirring sounds that create an atmosphere of bliss and comfort. Since 2020 TAkATukkA is co-hosting a monthly radio show for electronic world music presenting latest releases of respected labels and upcoming artists.
 
This mix is a short drive from naturalistic melodies to bounxy basslines, intermezzos and back. tempered at juicy 90 bpm.

after quite some time I'm back to start into the new year with a fresh mix!
This time it is mixed by Dom Tilson, currently living in Hamburg, Germany.

Dom Tilson, born and raised in Karlsruhe, early discovered his love for small & dark clubs, where mainly industrial and dark techno sound dominated. Influenced by this sound, he started spinning in 2016 and played mainly in Clubs like Romy S, Romantica & White Noise in Stuttgart. Later on, events like 'Bucht der Träumer' and 'Jangala' showed him the beauty, depth and diversity of downtempo music.

In his productions and sets, he tries to merge his different influences into a sound full of melancholia and deep melodies but driving at the same time. From deep down to dark tech, fast or slow, the mood is alike.

In 2020 he had his first release on the label 'Kollektiv.Liebe' and co-founded the creativity hub @schleichend , which is providing a platform for artists of all kinds.

I’ve loved music for as long as I can remember but it was only at my first rave that I realized what we can do if i work hard at my new exciting craft. After a little while Berlin has become my new home. Within it’s walls soon darker, powerful downtempo called me into it. Since 2016, AnLz seeks to create auditory openings, allowing the entry of new sensations and emotions and ultimately resulting in a self-analysis of the listener. Loy grew up in the middle of nowhere with a passion for nature and music. When she was little she started making her own mix tapes as music had always a big influence in her life. She has always been ambitious for music, especially for different sounds of cultures from all over the world. From early on she was looking for new sounds, that make the body want to move. After spending years dancing infront of the DJ-desk she decided to go behind the desk since the beginning of 2018. 
Loy believes music shall not be limited to genres, so she is not confined by tempo, genre or geoprahpical boundaries. With melodic elements at the heart of her sets, she wants to tell a profound story that creates an uplifting atmosphere, which leads through percussion, deep rythms and cosmic downtempo tracks — always with a baseline. From 2014-1016 he has been resident and organizing member of the club „Hans Zum Glück“. Being a passionate fan of P.Funk and Funk Music in general has led him to create www.pfunkarchive.com, a database for P.Funk bootlegs, tourdates and other information. In his slowhouse mixes the selection ranges between oldskoolish 80s synth music with a dirty touch and warm, funky sound. Subby soundsystem deeply recommended!

His sound reaches from midtempo & deep techno to slow global beats. Especially in his ecstatic dance sets he is traveling through different kinds of rhythms touching the whole range of emotions with various styles of music. His vision is to create a room of safetiness and trust where people can open themselves, get in touch with their inner feelings and express whatever comes up.

He is not only a great dj, but also co-creator of the „Mach Mal Langsam“-colective that regularly hosts parties in the area around Frankfurt (Main).

Sahra Bass is a Berlin born and based Djane with arabic roots on her paternal side. Having listened to her father playing the Darbuka when she was little (not to say the steering wheel of his car when he was driving), she became fascinated with the power of rhythm from very early on. This, combined with the fact that she has always found herself being mesmerized by the spirit of nature (notably mountains), gave birth to her passion for organic, earthy sound. She has been DJing since 2018 only, but feels like she has finally found a tool to express her enthusiasm for vibrant rhythms and uplifting melodies, while creating a space for a community to find common ground in love and abundance through music. In her mixes, you may find oriental vibes and driving percussion grooves as well as deep bass lines and emotional tunes that carry a sense of melancholy. Sahra Bass’s heartbeat further reverberates in her current downtempo duo project “Bassara”, in which she partners up with artist Reyneke to produce slow deep and melodic, yet danceable compositions. They have released a few tracks so far with labels such as Amselcom and WAYU - and much more is in the works…! <3

"I want to dedicate this mix to the people who are protesting against the blatant injustice, in the US and worldwide. I hope to send out some energy for fighting police brutality and racism.

On that note I want to highlight two inspiring Black women, who also became part of this mix:

The first song is from the American folk singer Vera Hall (1902-1964), singing “Another Man Done Gone” in 1940. Repression of African Americans didn’t stop at the end of the Civil War, and prisons and chain gangs were full of black people arrested for minor violations. This song, “Another Man Done Gone”, tells of the death of a black man on one of those chain gangs.

The speech at the end of this set is from Angela Davis, who is an American political activist and philosopher speaking about revolution after the events of the LA riots in 1992.

Hola amigos y amigas, the episode of this month is mixed by Cris Kai a friend of ours we met in Mexcico last year and that we share some good memories with. She describes her self as "A storyteller through the development of musical journeys". 
Mexican but in the love of travelling and adventures, she has been based in Ibiza since 2010 but in 2020, universe put her in the United States where she's exploring the cosmos of electronic music production. 
With a wide experience playing in an eclectic range of venues and settings all over Europe and Latin America, she promotes high quality electronic but still organic music. Cris Kai intends to share the beauty of that sound cultivated worldwide, with a focus on cutting-edge underground and relatively unknown producers. 
Since 2018 she's been the proud host of the weekly Radio Show 'Luuma Beat' on Pure Ibiza Radio 97.2 FM, a tastemaking electronic music radio station located in Ibiza led by the well-known DJ David Moreno.

This time it is mixed by Turak, a berlin-based member of the global network "Love Foundation".
The following text is not a bio, but some things he want's you to know about the music instead.

"It is a very special set to me and again a little different than the rest. It consists more or less completely out of warm and super groovy favorite songs. A lot of guitars can be found and I kept it intentionally mellow and down without any big peaks. Hopefully this is counterbalanced by the catchiness of the tracks.

In the end of December we listened to it in the car at seven am, while driving to the alps. Still sleepy and excited for the snow, this did fit perfectly to me. Hopefully it does to you, too, maybe even on a warm summer evening, spent with friends!"
