for inviting me to play at their splendid XOOK support party at Sektor Evolution !!
This is my set from the magical morning - co-evolving together :)

The balancing act between public culture, party-hedonism and the wish for a better world seems nearly impossible at first.
We as Lotenheim / Festival Nomade now still want to take these steps together with the organization Li Chutam Guatemala e.V. Therefore, we traveled to the Latin American roots of the Festival Nomade and now bring the event-series „XOOK“ to life.
The aim of the project is to support the education in Guatemala, therefore the name „XOOK“ was chosen for the series. It means „school“ in maya and expresses in a simple clear word our motivation.

 To honor the lovely island of Jamaica, this dj set is simply my favorite feel good reggae tunes.  You will hear dub, conscious dancehall, lovers rock, ska,  and traditional roots reggae songs. Jamaica's musical influence is also heard in some Latin, West African, Turkish, Arabic, and Isreali tunes as well.  I really tried to tell a story with the songs, so I encourage you to listen closely to the lyrics, which speak about uniting together, becoming a better version of your self, the problems and challenges with money, the joy of smoking marijuana, everyday struggles, living good, and of course, LOVE. Almost all of these tracks I own on vinyl, and I had such a blast recording these all week long, just vibing on down memory lane, in preparation for  this set. I hope you enjoy it, and it brings positive vibrations to you and yours. Stay safe amigos, this too shall pass, and we will gather inna dance together very soon. One Love to all ~ SABO
