The Blues Spiders draw upon the long established tradition of Thames Delta bands bringing you the best of blues and rhythm and blues. A new band but chock full of experience and meaty goodness! There’s some blues classics, some favourite r’n’b and throw in some self-penned material and that’s one serious Memphis soul stew.

Dylan Howe
Born 1969 in London

Dylan Howe is an acclaimed drummer and bandleader, whose versatility and swing has led him to work in many genres and formats for the past 25 years 
Best known for leading his quintet and other jazz groups since 2002 and his tenures with Ian Dury and the Blockheads (1997-2010), Steve Howe and Wilko Johnson (2010-2013), coupled with extensive session work since 1990, playing with Nick Cave, Damon Albarn, Ray Davies, Paul McCartney, David Gilmour, Beth Gibbons, Gabrielle and Hugh Cornwell amongst others.

Clive loves to make music, he has always written his own music and has always tended to lean towards instrumentals. Having discovered that he can sing in tune, his more recent songs are vocal compositions but instrumentals still appear occasionally.

Clive's music covers a wide range of genre's from Country, through Blues and Jazz, Rock and into progressive rock. 

Clive's influences are many and varied, Vangelis, Tomita, The Alan Parsons Project, Paul Simon, John Denver, Billy Joel, Bob Segar, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Neil Diamond, Rick Wakeman, Gerry Rafferty to name a few, so many good bands and  songwriters! 

Clive writes new songs constantly but only records a few, an important driving factor in his music is that other people enjoy it and are even able to relate in some way.

Clive does not use any form of AI in his lyric writing or musical compositions however occasional use is made of AI to produce track artwork to avoid copyright issues.
